a family of 16 stayed here and not one of us could say anythingpositive. the place was the filthiest location I have ever seen. You couldn't walk barefoot anywhere. Even in the middle of the night I would put shoes on to go to the bathroom. One of the houses had a trap on the roof and the room had... More

My bachelorette Party was at the Kerlerec House 3 years ago, and it was amazing! In fact, it was so amazing that I rented it again as a returning customer. The house is in such a great location with an abundance of historic character and all the ladies adored it then, and they still adore it now. That being said,... More

This house is AMAZING!! We are so happy to have found it!! It was not only beautifully decorated but it was clean, spacious and private! Walking distance to Frenchman and bourbon street, but away from the chaos. Trinna, Tony and Scott were SO easy to work with! We had a party of 13 and had plenty of room to spare!... More

We rented out the entire property for a bachelor party and it was the perfect fit for our big group. Very close to the French Quarter and provided all the guys with plenty of space and privacy. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a big space close to the Quarter.

Had our wedding ceremony at the Kerlerec House, beautiful location. Everyone of our guests were enchanted by the beauty of a true New Orleans home. Plenty of room for outdoor cooking, we had a shrimp boil. Close to the French Quarter for an extra bonus. Or take advantage of the hot tub.

I just spent 5 days at the Kerelec House with 24 guys for a bachelor party and we all couldn't have been happier. Had an incredible weekend, in large part due to the fact that the house was exactly what we were looking for. This is not a house where I would bring a 10 month old and a 3... More

Wonderful location between Bourbon and Frenchman. The complex was large, with plenty of sleeping space plus private outdoor area with hot tub! It is an older house but very well kept. Highly recommend for large parties/bachelor parties.

Recently we had a family reunion where we rented the entire Kerlerec House complex. There were about 20 of us ranging from 10 months to retirement age. The complex offers a great location- minutes to French Quarter and Frenchman St., plus a nice quiet neighborhood. There is a hot tub and a washer and dryer on site. But sadly, these are... More

Our stay at Kerlerec House was awful. Our group rented the whole complex. We had checked Trip Advisor before we paid our deposit last September. We had read the negative reviews dated 2011 [which I totally agree with] but had assumed there had been improvements because of the more positive recent reviews. I was wrong. I stayed in Mardi Gras.... More

We rented the complex May 6-11, 2014. The most prevalent concerns were the cockroaches throughout the complex, mice, roof leaking in the main house and Mardi Gras and the owner Scott. Mardi Gras was smelly, moldy with wet carpets and very dirty. We needed to use pots to collect water during a storm. The futon in the living room is... More

History of property.: Experience all of wonderful New Orleans while staying in one of the oldest Creole Cottages in the city. This home was built circa. 1808 and has some of the finest examples of architecture and details fashionable in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s. You will be staying one short block from the French Quarter and one block from Bourbon Street. Our cottage is luxuriously furnished and elegantly decorated, having antiques from the mid to late 1800’s. THE HISTORY OF THIS AMAZING HOME This elegantly decorated Creole Cottage built, “of columbage and bricked between post” circa. 1808, is one of the rarest examples of early Creole cottage architecture remaining to date. This home is in the first subdivision of New Orleans named Faubourg Marigny. The plantation was subdivided in March 16 1806. This home retains almost all of its original architectural features including; its rare Ram’s horn hinges and original latches on the French glass doors. More history of property.: There are also very outstanding long latches which were used to open and close the doors. The ceilings are original and are “dressed and beaded” which are rare to find intact to day. The mantels are the most distinguishing interior elements in Creole domestic architecture. Two of the mantels are box mantels in the style dating from the late 1700’s to 1810 with columns supporting a frieze having strong horizontal moldings. The floors are beautiful large plank and the original moldings are intact. This property was sold to one of the first women of color to purchase property in the United States. Madame Magdalene Baure’ purchased three lots which now form the sites of 1426 and 1434 Burgundy and of 928, 930 and 934 Kerlerec. This property now has 4 other cottages, two of which were believed to be very early barge board cottages from the early 1800’s most likely moved here at a later date.
