we were for a couple of nights, and after being the weekend away, we came back to spend our last night in New Orleans. Sandra really helped us a lot to accommodate us, even with last minute notice. And thanks a lot to Lucien, helping us and letting us use the facilities of the hotel even if we already checked...

Close to the action without being in the middle of everything! Small, quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced hotel. We had suite with king bed and pull out sofa bed and our 3-member family was fine for a week. No window in main bedroom, but large window in the living area overlooking inner courtyard. Breakfast buffet included. Easy walk to Canal St....

This hotel is very nice. It is about a half mile to the French Quarter. You do not want to use your car and they charge $35/day for parking. The area is ok and there are several restaurants close by. Our King room was very small but we got upgraded to a suite because of a mix up. The king...

Glad you had a good stay! We definitely try to mixup the breakfast offerings with unique hot items daily, and I am sorry to hear it didnt quite hit the mark. Otherwise, it sounds like you had a lot of fun visiting, and I hope you get to return again!

Great location, great service, great buffet breakfast, and the price was so right !! All personnel that worked there were very helpful in giving you tips on where to eat and go. It was my first trip to the Big Easy and didn't know where to go and have dinner. Guys in the front desk gave us various alternatives, all...

My boyfriend and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. The lobby is actually nicer in person than in the pictures (this is usually not the case with hotels!) and everyone we encountered was extremely nice and friendly. We used the valet to store our luggage before check in and after check out and...

I came here with the family and reserved two rooms. The staff was excellent-very professional. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and the staff was very attentive in cleaning tables promptly and ensuring the food was fresh. This hotel is a few blocks walk to the French Quarter and the WW2 museum. The rooms were smaller than I envisions...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
