Tucked into the mid-19th-century Central Business District, The Eliza Jane is located just two blocks from the French Quarter and a 10-minute drive from the Garden District, offering you a charming oasis near top New Orleans neighborhoods. This 196-room boutique hotel is built within nine historic warehouses that stand distinct on the outside, but have been united inside to create sizable luxury accommodations in addition to a 2,000 square-foot open-air interior garden courtyard. Inspired by the historic uses of the buildings, the design references each of its original occupants: The Daily Picayune newspaper, as well as Gulf Baking Soda company, Peters Cartridge shop, and Peychaud Bitters factory. The hotel’s accommodations and amenities include fifty suites, including twelve Signature Suites, a fitness center, garden courtyard and food and beverage offerings, which features a locally-inspired lobby bar, The Press Room, and traditional french restaurant - Couvant.

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Off the beaten path, yet within walking distance of everything in the French Quarter. Gorgeous, well thought out decor with a modern feel, but embracing the character and charm of the building. Immaculately clean. The only negative I can think of is that there is no bell

This hotel is now operated by Hyatt and was freshly renovated and reopened just a month or so ago. I stayed in a room with a window to the street out front, and couldn’t have been more happy with the room. I entered into a sitting room, through a closet bathroom area, into the

Thank you for your review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us and found the room to be quiet even though it was on the second floor overlooking Magazine Street. Those suites are beautiful and really show the character of our historic building. We hope to welcome you back again in the future! Best regards, Daniel Leavitt Guest Services Manager

Went for my wife’s 50th, had a great time, perfect location, walking distance from the French Qtr. unfortunately, someone went into my room and stole my sunglasses. At first management was helpful and did an investigation, then offered to reimburse me, but when I presented a

Loved the ELIZA JANE on Magazine St. Beautifully retro chic. Housed in the old Daily Picayune offices with exposed beams & brick in several places. Really nice upscale lounge areas & bar. Definitely would recommend. Staff was wonderful & friendly. Room was very nicely decorated

Lovely reclaimed building with interesting architecture! Personally I could do with no TVs in the cozy library area, but that’s just me I guess. The rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. There was a little street noise as a second line came down the street, but was over

Is the heated pool open year round?
There's no pool - there was tiny one that was removed during construction.

Hi Donna! Sadly, the pool was removed when the building was expanded to add 50 rooms to the hotel during our renovation. As of right now, we don't have photos uploaded, but the courtyard has a ton of comfortable seating with a fountain, gas lamps and a pergola. We hope to have photos taken soon! The hotel is located at 315 Magazine Street, which is 3 blocks from the French Quarter in the Central Business District. We are within 10 blocks of Jackson Square, the Audubon Aquarium and other museums and tons of shopping.

they're offering a continental breakfast until the restaurant remodel is finished...this would be consistent with remodeling a hotel property and reopening before the entire renovation is complete...
