Really enjoyed our stay here. The resort personnel are all very personable and seem to enjoy their jobs. The Sunday Brunch was great, Monday night Taste of New Orleans..great and the wine and cheese social..great! It was nice to have room to lounge in after partying without having to hear the street noises. Our pups also enjoyed their stay!

This is not a resort, more like a hotel. The pool isn't large and there is no spa. Use the pool to stand in and cool down after a hot day. This New Orleans in the French Quarter. The buildings are old. The facility is really five buildings that have been adapted to form the facility no room and no...

Had a 2 bedroom - 2 bath suite. Well kept up -- however did not expect to have 2 bedrooms with no windows. Living room had 2 windows but since it was someones bedroom access was limited. Had brick walls but what wasn't brick was painted dark maroon. Courtyard was small - no balconies. Overall the room was way too...

We have been to NOLA several times and love staying in the FQ with all it's charm. This little gem was great and the room we stayed in we would easily rank in the top 10 of the places that we have traded timeshares for. It wasn't the fanciest but location and charm it had plenty of. 5 restaurants/Bars within...

This 200 yr old building in the French Quarter provided unexpectedly comfortable accommodations with a kitchen, dining table, couch and love seat, and a king size bed in the bedroom. It was a wonderful, quiet refuge from the noisy hustle and bustle of the French Quarter, and just far enough away from Bourbon St to allow you to sleep soundly...

The Quarter House was one of the best vacation exchanges that we have had. We were in room 304, which sleeps 4 - 2 in the bedroom and 2 on a sofa sleeper. The room has a view of the courtyard and is on a quiet hallway, close to the elevator in the main lobby. We found the room quite...

We stayed here as part of a time share. The hotel is very interesting and each of the rooms are set up differently. The beds were very high but they gave you steps to get into them! Typically, in the time share hotels there is a full kitchen with an oven. This place had a small sink, stove, coffee maker,...

I had the reviews of the mouse and had an oh, oh, worried moment, but it was much ado about nothing. Never saw a mouse, or anything, not even a bug, and the timeshare was exactly what I pictured staying in New Orleans would be. The exposed brick work and styling to be 'antique' is perfect for the French Quarter....

If you have access to a time-share exchange with Interval International (otherwise, it's in the $300/night range) and are heading to New Orleans than the Quarter House Resort is a hidden gem in a great location on the edge of the French Quarter, just off Canal St. One bedroom, two-bedroom, suites with a "lock-off" and a couple of penthouse apartments...

We traded our time share and picked the quarter house based on reviews and availability. We had a one bedroom on the second floor. We liked it a lot. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was very nice and plenty big. It had everything we needed. It was nice and cool and the decorations were very ornate. It...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
