Had a great stay, food was good and service provided was excellent. Loved the townhouse style layout. House accommodated family reunion and had a great lobby area for hanging out and visiting with each other.

This was our second visit to Terrell House, and again we found the setting, with lovely decor, serene and beautiful courtyard, and friendly/helpful staff, to be the perfect "home away from home" for our family reunion with our daughter who lives nearby and another daughter who was also visiting.

We are frequent visitors to New Orleans and we know the city well. We would not consider residing anywhere but Terrell House for short stays or long. The graciousness and stateliness of Terrell House set just the right tone for visitors to this historic city. Every creature comfort is seen to: the rooms are beautifully appointed and the breakfasts are...

The home is restored to perfection and elegantly decorated. The Garden Distance Homes are amazing and I highly recommend a walking tour. Great location only minutes to the French Quarters and other points of interest. We had wonderful food at Jacque E Moses restaurant not far away.

Terrell House is close to the bus line, or the trolley or close enough to walk to the French Quarter. We loved the trolley, as we did a lot of walking around the city. It's quiet and close to the Irish Channel, which was great for St. Patrick's Day. We loved our stay at Terrell House.

Love the house. Alex who works there is very kind and helpful. I don't recommend the two 3rd floor rooms because it's the attic and feels tight and not as nice. The bed frame needs changing. The stairs to the attic are very steep. However, we loved the courtyard and the outdoor cat Jubilee. Food was homemade. It was very...

Everything about this place is classy, clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The grounds an building are well-kept and clean, Linda and her staff are friendly, courteous, efficient, and extremely helpful. My wife and I felt as if we were staying as family, rather than customers. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and unique, and truly gave us a sense of New Orleans....

Two years after our initial stay, some staff changed, but the level of service remained stellar. Even the courtyard kitty seemed to remember us. This is one of the best ways to experience NOLA, hands down.

The Terrell House exceeded my expectations. The estate is gorgeous!!! From the rooms to the courtyard, just beautiful. I stayed a couple of nights leading up to my wedding. My bridesmaids and I were able to get ready there, which made for some amazing pictures! Linda even let us take pictures in the courtyard with our family and bridal party....

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
