The rooms at the Terrell house are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The quality of the rooms are on the level of a luxury hotel. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The location is excellent with easy quick access to all parts of the city. The breakfast is unbelievably good and a unique feature of the stay.

From Ms. Linda taking our reservation, to Arthur meeting us to give us the tour upon arrival, to lovely breakfasts held in a gorgeous dining room...I would say this was the perfect getaway for us. We will definitely be back.

We visit New Orleans frequently and usually stay in one of the big hotels in the CBD or near the quarter. We chose Terrell this time since it's nearer to where our family member lives, and we couldn't have been happier. Since the Gold Room was occupied when we booked, the owner suggested we try two-bedroom suite. It was more...

We loved this place. It's more like a boutique hotel than a b&b (save for the communal breakfast) - but that's no problem right. Lovely room on a courtyard, good AC/bathroom, excellent breakfast. Great location too - you really don't want to stay in the French Quarter because it's tourist crazy - from the Terrell House it's a 10 min...

We stayed 1 night in the Creole House at the Terrell House Bed & Breakfast and it was lovely. Well maintained, well located and beautiful decor. They are expanding this property so there was some construction and the Creole House is located across the street from the main Inn. The owner was pleasant over the phone and by email, although...

Came to explore the city, but never wanted to leave the Terrell House! The place is so beautiful, the grounds, the decor, the detail. The staff was as friendly as family and the breakfast was 5 star quality!

My best friend and I went on a girls trip to NO and we chose to stay here at this fancy B&B. The food was excellent, the staff helpful and the neighborhood and house was quiet. Too quiet, I kept asking if there were other guests. LOL I would love to come back and stay here with my husband in...

We traveled to NOLA for a business trip for my wife and some R&R for me. Terrell House is a beautiful property and everyone was very helpful and friendly. We recently were in New Orleans for a wedding and stayed at the Terrell House. We traveled with our 10 month old daughter and it was really easy at this B&B. We stayed in a 2-room suite in the cottage across the street and the staff had a pack and play set up for us in the second room. They...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.

“The larger rooms are a bit pricier, but they include gorgeous balconies and make you feel like royalty. If you can afford to, the extra cost is totally worth it:)”

“We had the "bridal suite" upstairs at corner of Magazine and Euterpe. This suite has everything one could want, including a multiple places to sit (!) including a large, comfortable porch overlooking Magazine. Amazingly, there was almost no street noise. Loved the dressing area with large vanity, too.”
