This was our second time visiting the hotel and once again we were very pleased with the hotel, staff and the comfort of our room. The room was very quiet and no outside noise was heard. The only negative comment is that the ice machine was out of order on our floor (14) and we had to go to the...

Room was right next to elevator, so we heard it any time we were in room, really hard to sleep at night. Small black ants in room also, not many, but they were there. Mattress hard to me, But ok for my husband.

The location was busy so expect a wait for valet etc. Parking was expensive. Loud neighbors and people in hallways all night so bring ear plugs! Overall, service was excellent and location great for walking the French Quarter!

Hotel considered 4 stars but lacks in service, quality and location. Very busy at all times a d impossible to count on information from the front desk as they are always busy, therefore very very rude. Only nice thing about it was concierge, very helpful.

Traffic was a little crazy getting to the hotel but once we got their it was great. Everything is in walking distance the waterfront, french quarters and casino. The hotel was clean and had good service, however the restaurant attached was very average and over priced.

This hotel is very nice! The location is perfect for anyone that wants to be close to Bourbon Street, French Quarter and casino! There is a balcony on the second floor which overlooks Bourbon Street. We enjoyed sitting here and people watching.

I stay there with my husband for our first year anniversary after getting married in new orleans. We booked this hotel like 3 months in advance. The first thing I noticed when I went to the bathroom, was a towel with 3 or 4 long black hairs and hair over the sink/cabinet area. We told the receptionist, but she didn't apologize...

Hotel is a decent find in a great location. It is located off of Canal and Bourbon street so you have easy access to local transportation as well as being in walking distance of all of the Bourbon street festivities. The hotel is clean and neat. My biggest issue was that the housekeeping staff sometimes forgets to come turn down...

Spent three bites. Rooms were clean although hard to find. Ice machine on our floor was out but adjacent floor was okay. Many good restaurants in the same block. No need for a car. Checking was slow due to too few personnel.

We were in town for a weekend, and chose this hotel due to it's location (close to Bourbon - actually on Bourbon!) and we got a good price. Our room was spacious and clean, no complaints. We arrived at 12:30 (check in is 3 or 4) so they held our bags and then called me at 1:45 to say our...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
