We stayed there for 1 night. Room 209. Satisfactory but very very old bathroom and kitchen area. It was a suite. Price was good fairly clean. We left to go to Baton Rouge but then had to go back for one more night. Room 405 awful. Musty old. 2 double beds when we asked for a king and they said...

The hotel and staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. History of the hotel was very interesting. Location to every place you would want to visit ~ easily accessible by walking just a few blocks in any direction. VERY glad I chose this hotel ~ and lucky I did it right the first time! Thank you Le Richelieu staff!

Such a nice experience. We stayed five nights during the French Quarter Festival. It's just a block from the US Mint stage and a five to ten minute walk to Frenchman Street. The folks at the front desk are terrific as are the two gentlemen who waited on us in the restaurant at breakfast. When we return, we will get...

I spent five nights at Le Richelieu was delighted with the experience. It has the feeling of a boutique hotel but with an accommodating staff and standard amenities. I felt safe in the slightly off main FQ nightlife locale, but was within walking distance of all sorts of interesting adventures.

I don't have anything negative to say about this place other than finding it and the parking lot, it took some maneuvering, We had a good stay, nice place with a great location if you're looking not to drive to your hotel. Staff were very friendly. I loved that we could open the windows.

The hotel is an old building that has been converted into a charming hotel. It is built around a courtyard with a pool and lots of places to relax. Many of the rooms open onto a balcony which has views of the city and a place to relax. There is a secured parking lot in the back of the hotel...

We absolutely loved the Le Richelieu with its old world charm and character filled venue; there were more than a few characters at the bar as well. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, from manager Jo Young, to Jennifer the bartender. They made our stay a memorable and pleasant experience.

An old building which was the residence of the French religious ruler when he visited the city in the 18th century. Has a nice courtyard pool, friendly and helpful check-in and restaurant staff. And, there are some of the currently best restaurants and jazz clubs in town within a short walking distance.

We stayed at Le Richelieu on the 15th while in town for the Stevie Nicks show at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The staff was outstanding, meeting our every need! Our suite was clean and comfortable and the history of the hotel was intriguing and informative. Minutes from anything on foot in the French Quarter. I've already booked...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
