Quiet hotel near convention center, but a bit of a walk to French Quarter (0.5 miles edge, 1.0 miles to Jackson Square). Close to Nat'l WWII War Museum (two blocks). Inside rooms are quiet, away from street and certainly away from the noisy Bourbon St crowds. Bed is okay, not a pillow-top like other Marriotts. Rooms are suites, a bit...

Thank you Kevin for taking the time to share your opinion of our hotel. We are not in the French Quarter but less than a 25 minute walk form canal street which is the begining of the French Quarter. We are also installing new mattresses and box springs in a couple of weeks. We should complete the installation no later...

Its much better place than i expected. We stayed for 6 nights in room with 2 double beds. Rooms were spacious and comfy with pantry, microwave and good t.v. Convention center and river walk outlets are in walking distant. Breakfast was better than I expected. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. If your international travels remember to bring a...

It's a really great space, all up to date and modern, amidst the little touches of what the older building used to be. The rooms are all great suites in the Springhill standard. Very close to the convention center, though it is a few blocks walk to get to the quarter. Nice breakfast room as well. The front desk people...

The first night I let them know and they immediately called for maintenance. a nice thing is they are close walk...

From the time we checked in to checking out, everything was excellent. Nora took the time to help us with any questions and gave us tips on what to see, how to get around and what do in the city, especially since it was our first visit to New Orleans. The breakfast was fantastic. They offered waffles with many toppings to...

I stayed here with my 2 sisters while in town for a Bachelorette girls trip. The hotel was 0.8 miles from Burbon Street, and an easy walk for me. My sister complained because she thought it was too hot for tye walk. The staff was super friendly, the room was clean, and the breakfast buffet was well stocked! Parking was...

We stayed here for 6 nights in mid March. It is located nice and close to the Convention Center where my wife was attending an event. The room was decent in size, having a small refrigerator, bar area with sink, pull out sofa, large desk and two queen beds. A decent size flat screen TV was bolted to a cabinet...

Thank you for sharing with us what took place at the hotel. This is not acceptable and not our norm. I want to apologize on behalf of the entire staff at SpringHill Suites. We will be investigating to find out how this happened and to ensure it is an isolated incident.

My sister booked two rooms on her credit card. At first, I was told there was only one room and then the card was denied and finally that I needed to leave my card, which would not be charged until my sister arrived. My sister arrives. They charge her card for the two rooms. The next morning, under the door...

I would like to apologize for your inconvenience. I am a little confuse on your comments about breakfast. We offer an upscale continental with fresh eggs, not powdered, fresh fruits, meat (turkey or pork patties) waffles to order. We do not offer toast but we do offer a variety of breads. I truly apologize that you did not enjoy your...

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is close to everything, only around a mile from Bourban Street. I requested my 2 rooms to be close to each other on the way there. Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
