The selections on the breakfast bar were great. I really appreciated the fresh spinach and salsa, which are not typical breakfast items. My husband enjoyed the made to order, pre-measured waffles from the waffle maker. The breakfast bar attendant Terry Barquet was friendly and welcoming and contributed to an overall very positive dining experience.

This hotel is located in the south of the Business District, very close to the convention center. You can walk to and from the French Quarter completely safe and it takes 15 minutes aprox. The rooms are spacious, like in other Springhill hotels. There are not luxury rooms, but everything clean and with all the stuff you may need (including...

Most of the rooms are on the "Club" side, which means directly across from a string of night clubs, each playing music loud enough for a stadium. The walls were shaking and the toilet was even rattling from the bass. The staff were nice, but there was no relief, or sleep, to be had. It did quiet down after 4...

Thanks for your response in referene to your recent stay. I apologize that the music is very loud on the weekends. We are trying to work with the city to get noise ordiance and are awaiting their decision. Again I do apologize.

Had a wonderful stay at the Springhill in New Orleans in September 2015. Front desk staff pretty friendly. Free Breakfast and staff were very friendly. Walking distance to Casino and a good hike to Bourbon Street, but great exercise. Great Walking distance to River Walk.

I come to this hotel several times. What I did not like is the attitude from Anthony at the front desk. Every time I arrived at this hotel in the past, it has never been this late. This guy works overnight and is surly. I am a Platinum member for the past five years. I felt I was a bother...

This hotel is in walking distance of Bourbon street and dining places. We loved the rooms, free breakfast, and friendly staff. Make sure you try Cafe du Monde, the beignets and hot chocolate are so delicious!

Dasaree, you are correct that our location is really walking distant to anything that you would want to see in downtown New Orleans and I am glad that our team delivered on our service promise and let you know that we were here to service you. We work hard on trying to anticipate our guest needs so that we are...

I recently stayed at this hotel while attending a conference at the convention center. The location was perfect, a 2 minute walk to the convention center and only a 15-20 minute walk to the French quarter. The guest rooms were very clean and comfortable as was the rest of the hotel. I was also surprised by how large the room...

while this hotel was certainly close to the convention center, I would only stay here for business. Rooms were clean with lots of work space and the fridge was a bonus. Housekeeping was frugal with the soap and shampoo. Felt like I was in a maze going to my room. Excellent breakfast. Close enough to Harrahs but not to the...

I love this hotel. I have stayed here a few times and i can't help but return. The staff is amazing to start off. They are very informative about the city and restaurants. Then the rooms are beautiful and spacious.

Customer service = horrible. Found a huge cockroach in the room, the staff say it is a common occurrence at this property. Came back to the room at 4:30 after being out all day to find house keeping still had not cleaned it. When I asked the manager about it, he said it is normal to have rooms cleaned until...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
