Me and my husband really loved this hotel. Did not get to try the restaurant but I really enjoyed my stay. Cory at the front desk was amazing and even upgraded my room. I will definitely return the next time I am coming to New Orleans.

This hotel is close enough but not in the heart of everything, which is my preference. The staff is wonderful... the welcome drinks and food are always appreciated. The beds are super comfortable and the restaurant is delicious. I stay here for business and leisure every time!

This hotel is just far enough away ti avoid the crowds and noise, yet close enough to walk and enjoy them. The rooms are average size and very clean. The window sill allows you to enjoy the city view from above. Would stay here again . The red chandelier on the wall adds a funky modern vibe to the atmosphere.

This is an historic Marriott property. It has been updated and is in very good condition overall. From an attention to detail perspective, there was a hole in a lampshade, but that is a really minor complaint. The staff were always polite, helpful and engaging. They really made the stay for us.

From the moment I stepped foot onto the property I was received by a warm warm welcome!! The gentleman at the desk named Robert, he was soooooo nice! I told him I left my tickets for the basketball game in my car (which was valet parked), he made it a point to go to the car himself and retrieve them....

My daughter and I stayed last week for 2 days so we could have her go do a college tour at Tulane. We also were looking forward to enjoying the French quarter while we were there. Fist of all we loved the staff. The bellman at check-in was the same we had at checkout. I hate to not remember his...

I stay at a lot of Marriott properties, and this one met all expectations. Clean, well located, comfy beds, nice workout facility... but the staff here really shines. Friendly, helpful, great advice. Attention Marriott: The people at this property make the stay! Kudos to them!

This has to be the most ridiculous of hotel stays I've ever experienced. We travel to New Orleans 2-3 times per year and love checking out hotels we've never stayed in before. We were staying at the PM Marriott the week of Thanksgiving. (I mention that because the city is nearly empty compared to other weekends and the vacancy rate...

Stayed here while attending wedding. Old historic hotel with a friendly staff. Elevators are a bit small and slow. Rooms are on the small size but cozy and the beds are comfortable. Kept playing temperature wars with housekeeping so had to re-adjust the room every time we went out and came back for the evening. Very helpful bell staff.

The location is within walking distance of Bourbon Street and the hub of the French Quarter. The hotel is under construction (restaurant) so don't expect the usual amenities that comes with staying at the Renaissance brand. There is no club level and the VIP room with water and soda closes at 10pm. Though the front desk has water for you...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
