Awesome hotel. The rooms are well appointed. But oddly shaped. The staff were very nice and very attentive. They have lots of areas for lounging or drinking. The bar is nice but not open consistently. I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in being in the heart of it all, but not being in the center of noisy, drunken...

This is a bit of a hidden gem... amazingly well located to everything including the quarter but very quiet. Some great deals to be had here - they will price match Priceline prices which are often deeply discounted. They just added a new restaurant to the ground floor too.

The lobby was nice, clean and relaxing. Excellent room and the bed was comfy. Large bathroom but small shower. Great location. In walking distance of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Offers parking

Just returned from our extended weekend in New Orleans. We were a little skeptical about this hotel since some of the pictures looked as though it was a cheap. I am so glad we stayed here. The location is great just a block from Canal Street and Bourbon Street which was great since being over 40 you don't want to...

I have to personally " Shout out" To Glenn & William. My aunt and Mother in law were lost and these 2 guys went out of their way to help us find them. I can not express the amazing gratitude I have for these guys. Thank you AGAIN! Then Chris took it upon him self to sing to us mothers...

Just had a conference at the hotel and had a great time. Hotel is located one easily walked block from Canal St. Lobby and common areas very nice. I had a standard king room (516) which had incredibly comfortable bed, large bathroom and small desk work area. Good water pressure in the shower, nice pillows. The team who assisted our...

I would give this hotel 3 1/2 Stars. The hotel is just a few minutes by foot from the French Quarter. The staff was friendly however the hotel looked a little tired and in need of a renovation. This lifestyle concept seems to miss the details in both decor and amenities. The TV in the room was small and very...

I wanted to like this property. Its as close to the French Quarter as you can get without being there. Unfortunately, my first interaction on checking in the tour group I was coordinating was that they delivered someone else's luggage to my room. It had my room number on it, but wasn't my luggage. Fortunately they found my luggage, also...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
