Stayed there for 5 nights while in NOLA. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but clean and well appointed. The staff responded quickly when my room safe wasn't working and got it all fixed up. Short safe walk to the edge of the french quarter - there is street cars that run either way if you...

We stayed here 3/24 to 3/26. The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is clean but a bit dated some wear and tear. At that time their restaurant was closed but they did serve breakfast which I never tried. There also is a bar but never tried it. Very close to some great restaurants and Lafayette Park which...

My husband and I recently stayed a night at this boutique hotel during our quick trip to Nola for the weekend. There were both pros and cons to this place. First, the good: the lobby is small, but inviting. It has a modern vibe and is charming. Walk 10 steps in any direction and you're out of the lobby. It's...

We originally rented an apartment in the French Quarter. It didn't work out so midway through we looked for a hotel. It was challenging as it was week before Easter and spring break. We found this hotel in the CBD walking distance to Lafayette Park, the WWll Museum. Great location. When we arrived, everyone was very nice and accommodating. The...

The front desk area and courtyards are really nice and modern. The room however was pretty standard and kind of cold. There wasn't anything on the walls for decoration and it was all just an off white color. The room had one small window that faced the circle that brought a little life into the room. The bathroom was modern...

The other reviews are all correct-- the service here is good. However, I was still very disappointed with my stay on the first night. On the first night, we got a room in the adjacent building-- there is the main building and then an adjacent building that you access through a courtyard. The room was somewhat depressing--the furniture, the carpet,...

I gave this hotel an average for one reason and one reason only, the front desk people are super nice and I liked Carlos. I booked this after reading several reviews and how good it is and reading their website. Their website is some kind of fantasy especially the about us page. We were not greeted with a drink nor...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
