Good hotel with friendly, attentive staff. Location is within walking distance to many great venues. Biggest issue I had was with the high cost of parking. $45/night. I really liked the rooftop pool/hot tub... great place to relax and unwind after Jazz Fest and before heading out for a great NOLA dinner.

We had a 4 day stay here. 1st day: Stained towels were in bathroom and no toiletries (only a bar of soap). I requested an extra firm pillow from the front desk when we checked in and they never provided that after telling me it would be sent up. The coffee machine in the room had issues. The room was...

Hotel is convenient because of location close to convention center, hotel is of poor quality for being a Hilton brand need more friendly staff and better maintenance. Needs to be updated. Rooms are clean but hallways are old and carpets are dirty.

Really enjoyed the friendly staff at this hotel in the warehouse district New Orleans. Nice clean room and excellent coffee! The location of the Hilton Garden Inn is within walking distance of the French Quarter and Canal street activities. It is a good mid point between the convention center warehouse district, and the French Quarter. Very friendly attentive staff in...

We booked this hotel for Jazz Fest and were traveling with another family. We selected our rooms so that we could be across the hall from each other. When we arrived, the mini-fridge did not work in the other family's room and our room had not been cleaned at all. We had to switch our room to one that was...

We just returned from New Orleans, where we spent three nights at the Hilton Garden Inn, Convention Center. We chose this location for its proximity to the WW II Museum, which was only a short 2-block walk away. The hotel staff, including Jonathan Akers, couldn't have been more helpful in meeting our needs. Bar tender, Brian, made a dynamite Manhattan....

If you are used to the Hilton Garden Inn brand, be careful with this one. While the hotel bears the name, the same quality that you've come to expect at other Hilton Garden Inn's does not exist here. Hotel smells musty-especially the carpet. The rooms are just OK; my bathroom was gross. In a word it is LACKLUSTER after you've...

From the moment I arrived at this Hilton Garden Inn until I checked out the staff was upbeat, friendly, and helpful. Lobby is clean and modern with water/coffee/tea options. I was offered recommendations on local sights and dinner options. My room was clean and quiet and the cleaning staff did a great job as well. Beds and linens are comfortable...

The Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center is an excellent location for Business Travel or for any convention activity near or surrounding the convention center. Ideally locate for the Riverview Outlet Center and the cruise terminal.

The rooms are big. The housekeeping is below average. Should do better cleaning the rooms. I stayed for 4 days, after the first day, I posted the do not disturb and they did not do any cleaning. I spent most of my time out. They need to have a better quality control regarding the housekeeping. Similar problems were reported by...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
