This Drury is in a perfect spot. There is a trolley stop right at the corner and everything is in walking distance: shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel is nice and the accommodations are representative of the high quality that Drury stands for. The only downside is parking, which is around $25+ but all of the hotels in this area...

Almost a 5-star, but fell short because the AAA online purchase price confirmation was not what we were charged by the Drury Inn & Suites. The Drury charged an additional $200+ dollars for our 6-night stay; this was disappointing, to say the least. Not exactly sure who's at fault, but that extra $200 we were charged could have been spent...

So clean! And staff was friendly and always happy and helpful. We love Drury Inns! We have always had great service. Rooftop pool was nice, again clean everywhere! Rooms very comfortable with small refrigerators and microwave. This place was really secure and we felt safe. You needed your key to get in the hotel, and to use the elevator to...

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Walkable to most of the attractions and very close to the hop on hop off bus ride. Very pleasant workers. Enjoyed a great breakfast and supper every night. Cocktails in the eating area. Kids loved the rooftop pool. Nice hot tub. Love New Orleans. Great food.

We just returned from a trip to New Orleans. This hotel is in a great location - just a few blocks walk to the French Quarter. They have an excellent breakfast every morning as well as "kickback" at night which is enough to eat for dinner if you want. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and...

The Drury hotel chain is the nicest hotels we stayed in on the entire trip and will use them any time they are available. Great breakfast and happy hour buffets at all. We didn't take part in the food as we wanted to go and have cajun food for dinner, but many families had their children eating there.

This hotel is a few blocks from the Superdome and the Smoothie King Center which makes it a great location if you are coming in for a game or concert. We have stayed here a few times. The staff is courteous and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Several good restaurants, Harrah's Casino and the French Quarter are within walking...

Excellent location right across the street from the trolley stop and about four blocks from Bourbon Street. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly and go out of their way to assist any need you have. They are also very knowledgeable about things in the area. Their complimentary breakfast and happy hour are both great. I do wish the sink was...

I recently stayed here with a family of 5 adults, and the hotel was perfect! We stayed in a suite, and the room itself was extremely spacious. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the 3 free alcohol beverages and appetizers during happy hour ended up being enough food for dinner. I love Drury Inn & Suites and plan to use...

Though I didn't spend much time at this hotel (just sleeping and having breakfast), I had a good stay. The room is adequate, clean, fairly quiet, and comfortable, with both microwave and fridge. There are minor problems (shampoo dispenser drips onto the shower faucet/control), which did not bother me (but might bother a more fastidious guest) . The breakfasts are...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
