My stay at The Whitney was satisfactory, but the hotel did not do anything to put itself in an above average rating. The hotel was worn, but generally clean. Nice location between St. Charles and Magazine, and easy to get around. The exercise room was largely unusable (treadmill was not functional and the recumbent bicycle was in dire need of...

Their front desk reception is the best. Good knowledge, brilliant service and overall very service minded. Especially Katarina in the front desk reception will make sure your stay goes accordingly. She's the best!

It was awesome. The service was great, the only issue is the tub- the water was slow draining. The hotel staff was friendly and was very helpful. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to family and friends!

Nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Location for my visit was perfect. The fact that the building used to be a bank and several aspects of that have been kept makes this quite a unique hotel. Room was nice. Didn't have the opportunity to dine there, so cannot comment. Parking fee is a bit much, but space is at a premium,...

The Whitney is in a perfect location to tour the city. Easy access to the tram system and we could walk to most everything. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. They always had suggestions of off the beaten path places to try.

Our stay at the Whitney Hotel was amazing. The hotel is conveniently located close to the Warehouse District and the French Quarter, but quiet. The room was spotlessly clean, staff was efficient and very friendly and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I can highly recommend this place.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
