Beautiful rooms and scenery! It was truly like a secret garden tucked away from the busy streets of New Orleans! The pool was salt water and well maintained and included complimentary towels. Breakfast was included with the stay. Wonderful staff who is very attentive to your needs! Continental breakfast with mimosas included! Who doesn't love mimosas? Butler services included, for...

BrittaniLH, A Secret Garden, indeed! You almost forget you're even in the Quarter, right? We're glad you enjoyed it. And the Butlers will be so pleased to know they made such an impression! Come back any time and catch up. We'll have the Champagne ready. Brian

The cottages have always been a hidden secret in the French Quarter - and with the added amenities, the service actually matched the perfection of the property. The butlers are fabulous and ensure every need is met. We had a delayed flight (was supposed to be 5PM, then 9PM - then AA cancelled once we got the the airport) -...

jcmiami13, What a huge compliment! All the staff and I thank you very much! The property is indeed lovely, and it's so nice to hear that the service you received was a match. It is our utmost pleasure to oblige. So glad we were able to play a role in the memory-making. We'll be looking forward to seeing you again...

Loved the cottages. The service and rooms were impeccable. Pure beauty tucked away in the heart of the French Quarters. However, definitely experienced paranormal activity. Loud noises and my roommate heard the same voices. Cottage 5 is definitely haunted.

abper3, Well! While I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of any specter, I am certainly glad to hear Cottage 5 made an impression. It does happen to be my personal favorite. It has that certain... haunting charm. Let us know when you're ready to come back and see us again. ...All of us. ;D Brian

The place itself is fantastic. The room, bed, facilities are perfect. The pool and seclusion are heavenly. The service will blow you away. I have never left a place and known the names of the entire staff. Nor have I ever wanted to. These people are professionals at making their guests feel absolutely taken care of. I cannot wait to...

I had a great experience here and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the room and the grounds were despite Bourbon street being only a block away. The caretakers/staff were friendly and very helpful from the moment I stepped through the unassuming entrance. The 'continental' breakfast was generous with eggs, sausages, bacon, grits, pastries, and more. And, although I am...

Great stay-loved the History associated with this property. Josh was wonderful to our family! Our kids enjoyed the pool very much and the room was clean and comfortable. The parking is a little strange as it is down the block at another hotel- the staff was very friendly!

What a wonderful experience, staying at the Audubon cottages is always great! I highly recommend the stay here. It is very quiet but only one block from Bourbon St. Very relaxing, beautiful and enjoyable. Super friendly staff and very helpful.

Our family (2 adults and 2 children (ages 5 and 9)) stayed at the cottages in early June 2016 for four nights. This was my wife's and I's second or third trip to New Orleans in which we stayed at the cottages. Overall, the cottages are fantastic. It is a very small hotel (only 7 cottages I believe) with very...

My fiancé and I stayed for three days in cottage #7. First let me say that the property itself is breathtaking, and its location is a perfect starting point for an exploration of New Orleans. The staff is constantly striving to exceed your expectations. However, there are definitely areas that could be improved. I'll break it down into categories of...

After our initial visit 15 years ago, we decided Audubon Cottages would be the perfect place to spend our 40th Anniversary....we could have gone most anywhere in the world but we chose NOLA and the cottages, and it was perfect! Cottage 7 was as welcoming as before (though it has been re-decorated and the bathroom is lovely!), and the accommodations...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
