Wonderful hotel - room was comfortable and clean. Bar was friendly and nice, breakfasts were more than I hoped for in quality and variety. Loved the pool! Room with 2 queen beds was a good size. This is a great place to experience the French Quarter!

The rooms are hip and sexy. The bar is cool, try the bloody mary. But you just can't beat the location. I love this hotel. Never a disappointment. Be prepared for the $40 overnight parking fee. The parking garage is across the street. The fitness center has machines and dumb bells

My second stay here and have never been disappointed except with one thing and it's not the physical hotel. The overnight parking fee is $40! I hate that, but love, love the hotel and how convenient it is if you love the French Quarter.

My friend wanted to stay at a "boutiquey" hotel. This fit the bill. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. It is right off Bourbon street so ask for a room over the courtyard and away from the elevator. Breakfast was average. The bartenders were nice! You are paying for the GREAT location!

We had been told not to stay on Bourbon street so we searched for places near but off Bourbon. This hotel had good reviews so we figured we try it and are very glad we did. I found this hotel listed on Tripadvisor and found the reviews to be very helpful. Hotel Le Marais was the perfect location, just a half block away from the chaos of Bourbon St....

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
