Perfect location and exceptional staff, I spent weekend here on a cross-US bike trip. Its the perfect location to explore NO and the staff were excellent. The room was pleasant and clean, but I have stayed in better RCs in the US. That said, the public areas are great and the location unbeatable. It was quite expensive, but worth it...

I went there for the weekend with my friends. I absolutely love the hotel in all the point. First of all the staff is great, I don't remember the name of the person that check us in at the front desk but he was so nice and helpful. In general all the staff at the front desk was great, the...

We did not stay at the hotel. However, we did visit the spa for a fantastic voodoo massage. Upon entering the hotel the staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a bit of renovation underway so they were kind enough to walk us to the spa so that we didn't get lost in the maze created by the construction....

My husband and I wanted a weekend getaway for our second anniversary and we decided on New Orleans. I booked Sat night at The Ritz Carlton on Canal Street, French Quarter as a surprise to him. I must say my husband was completely flattered the moment we stepped into the hotel, and even though I was the one who had...

Location, Service, Quality, and Amenities: this hotel has them all. With a perfect Canal St location, you are close to both tourist and business draws when you stay at this full service hotel. It almost seems like a boutique hotel despite it actual size and amount of rooms. As usual, service from the staff and management was excellent. The quality...

As usual the Ritz Carlton never fails to provide outstanding service, this location was no exception. Our room was well appointed and tidy. Booked a room on the 11 floor with a view of the city and the River beyond. Rudy at concierge was very helpful, in helping us plan our daily itinerary.

Very much enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful and convention facilities were top notch, as was the food service. Convention lunch buffet trays can be pretty scary but the entrees and desserts we were served where excellent. Location is great too; one block from Bourbon Street, easy to walk the entirety of the French Quarter. A...

We stayed at the Ritz in NOLA for my Birthday and it was very nice and comfortable. It was within walking distance to restaurants and the jazz clubs etc in fact there was Jazz being played in the hotel by Jeremy Davenport and his group which my wife really enjoyed. The Breakfast at the hotel was also good.

Excellent quality and the value for the price! Great decor, extra clean and comfortable rooms. Very polite and helpful concierge service. Best location. Live jazz music in Davenport Lounge adds the extra touch to the entire experience.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
