This place was amazing. The Marsalis house is beautiful. The B&B managers are super sweet and the breakfast was great! We had a blast. Close walking distance to everything "New Orleans" Will be staying again!

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Marsalis is stunning and is a great choice when two couples travel together. Thank you for taking the time to write a five star review for us. We appreciate it very much. Until the next time, cheers from the team at New Orleans Jazz Quarters!

We loved our stay at the Jazz Quarters! Let's start with our seven days of delicious two-course breakfasts -- the ideal way to start your day in New Orleans, chatting and enjoying Southern cuisine. Then let's talk about the innkeepers who make the place truly exceptional -- for us it started with Charlie, who told us so much about New...

We are delighted that you loved us (the feeling is mutual) and that our little section of the Treme neighborhood was perfect for your stay. Thank you for noticing the "little things" that we pay attention to and thank you for letting us enjoy your company during our holiday season. Cheers from the entire Jazz Quarters team and a big...

This was our second visit at the Jazz quarters and I absolutely loved it even more so than the first. The food is fantastic have breakfast in the morning alternating between sweet and savory. We realize that occasionally what we offer at Jazz Quarters is not a good fit for some people. As you can see from hundreds of other reviews, our Creole breakfasts are well received by most, as are our luxurious linens and beds. Your lack of communication to staff and/or management played a huge part in your disappointing stay. We are...

My husband and I stayed 4 days in one of the little houses at this B&B. Breakfast every morning was good and filling, the managers Robert and Lorraine were gracious and helpful in steering us to the things we wanted to do during our stay. The location, however, was absolutely the best! Right across the street was the Louis Armstrong...

We are thrilled that our location in the Treme neighborhood suited your needs during your stay in the Big Easy. We love the French Quarter, too, but are quite satisfied to be just across the street from the noise. Best wishes to...

There were 5 of us - all cousins - who enjoy meeting up every few years and we chose New Orleans for our latest vacation together. We were in The Connick (2 bedrooms and a shared bath) and The King Oliver (bedroom, bath, sitting area) and they were wonderful accommodations for what we needed. Lorraine, the property manager, provides the...

We just returned from a lovely weekend at Jazz Quarters. It was my first visit to NOLA and thought the location was ideal for exploring the French Quarter. Lorraine and Robert were gracious hosts and the Creole style breakfasts were delectable. The cottages are all named for local jazz musicians and the decor highlights the musical theme. There was a...

Staying in Treme

Neighbourhood Profile
Treme
That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered to be the very best of New Orleans culture and tradition is, put simply, just how people go about their daily lives in this historic part of town. As one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods and among the nation’s first established residential areas for free people of color, Tremé’s significant heritage and contribution cannot be understated. This is especially the case when considering some of Tremé’s most famous residents, most notably jazz great Louis Armstrong. For full flavored food, funky and jazzed up music, and vibrant street life presented with homegrown pride, you can’t beat a visit to Tremé.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The New Orleans Jazz Quarters is ideally situated in the heart of all things New Orleans. Just steps from the famous French Quarter and next door to Armstrong National Jazz Park. New Orleans Jazz Quarters is a study in gracious southern appeal. Its charming brick courtyards with beautiful, well-established gardens are a perfect place to relax and plan the day's or relax at the end of the day. Our Creole cottages, some dating back to the early 1800's, suggest the allure of old New Orleans. Most have traditional high ceilings and antique furniture. In addition to our location, free wifi, another popular feature is our parking in our large gated parking lot, with secure access. ***New Orleans is a city where food brings people together there are now 2375 restaurants. We want our guests to experience and enjoy as many of these as possible. Unfortunately, we do not offer complimentary breakfast, as we are unable to run a restaurant at our facility. Our team will happily offer recommendations to area restaurants and in many cases discounts and coupons.*** We look forward to having you as a guest. ... more   less
