Nancy and Guy couldn't be more helpful in making our stay wonderful. We came for the Jazz and Heritage festival and they were a font of knowledge on the festival - music and food - as well as great suggestions for enjoying the music in the evening. They had printed for us great suggestions for restaurants off the beaten path...

My sister and I spent 4 nights at the Sulley Mansion for Jazzfest and my sister's first visit to New Orleans. I have been to New Orleans several times and stayed in several different places and this is by far the best place I have stayed for several reasons. First off, the room was incredibly spacious and more than roomy...

Sully Mansion is our home in the Garden District. Each time we arrive, we feel like we are walking up our own familiar steps to our own front porch. Our good friends Nancy, Guy and Gracie greet us and we settle into this special place. It is always like returning to visit with old friends. Our adult daughters have come...

We stayed at the Sully Mansion on a Saturday though Monday in April for a visit to Tulane with our 18-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son and, although the mansion certainly is beautiful and in a nice location, a couple of problems during our visit would cause us to look for somewhere else to stay on our next visit to New...

This reservation was problematic from the very beginning and did not improve over the course of their stay. The reviewer characterizes one of their party as 'persnickety' which strikes us as an apt and generalizable description. We are pleased that in over five years of running the inn we have never had guests have the same issues with their stay...

Nancy's weekend fancy brunch is not to be missed...Even their dog, Gracie, is extremely friendly. The B&B is only 1 1/2 blocks from the street car stop on St. Charles. The neighborhood is amazing - beautiful and safe to wander around. It is also within walking distance to the wonderful shops and restaurants on Magazine Street.

Guy and Nancy know the best places to eat and visit and they are happy to help in any way. We enjoyed our three days -- so did our accompanying teenager in his own room. Plenty of cozy places on the property, inside and out, to read, sit with a laptop or chat. Only a short walk to the St....

Like being at home with having to do laundry. Very comfortable room and relaxing porch to sit and enjoy. To me the best part was having Gracie around. Gracie is the owners' dog and really made me feel at home.

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
