Great location but hotel could upgrade the facilities. Water in shower went from warm to freezing. Air temperature could not be regulated-just on and off. Breakfast was terrible but the staff was helpful and very pleasant

Staff was great. Room needs to be upgraded. Had a problem with our hot water the whole stay, however the bill was adjusted. Location was all right, a bit noisy though. Not much of a breakfast bar .Courtyard was beautiful, steps going to our room were very narrow, air conditioning was not on a thermostat had to switch it off...

Older hotel with comfortable charm. A great place to relax from the heat and take a break from sightseeing and other tourist activities, but still in the French Quarter. Surprisingly quiet at night. A European feel to the room. Handicap amenities are lacking, such as a shower bench or hand held shower.

We arrived around 8:00 pm and couldn't wait to get to our room so we could unpack and hit the town. When we got there we noticed our bathroom ceiling was leaking. We went right back to the front desk and the woman at the desk upgraded us to a suite room at no extra cost. The room was perfect...

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the front desk was able to offer me a complementary early check-in and room upgrade. (Tues-Wed, on-season). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel consists of several converted houses; my room opened to the street, but there are several rooms in adjacent buildings that open to a courtyard with...

We come to new Orleans often. This was our first and last. The front desk lady is rude and acts like we are bothering her. I booked the room a month in advance with a balcony. Did not get it due to someone checked in before me that day and thought her room was too small, so we were put...

We are so happy we stayed at a locally owned hotel instead of a big chain hotel! The staff was very friendly and informed of local events. We're definitely staying here for future trips. Great experience!

We stayed at the Chateau Hotel for 2 nights. We had a two-double bed room which opened onto the courtyard. The courtyard was beautiful. Beds are very comfortable and room was quiet and private. Great location - close to everything.

My fiance and I are not the type who like to stay in big corporate chain hotels, so this was obviously right up our alley. The room was small, but affordable for us and pretty clean/updated. It had a wonderful courtyard and pool/balcony for us to come and go as we pleased 24/7. The room had an actual key and...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
