We loved the Hamton, the location was great and our room was perfect. When we checked in we had a small issue with the rate changing....I didn't realise and signed away and my husband told me later. However we spoke with a really lovely lady at reception who fixed it for us. Our room was a corner room on the...

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in December 2015, overall the hotel was acceptable. I chose this hotel because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and the rate offered for conference delegates. It's location close to the French Quarters and Canal Street seems attractive. The service was friendly and effective, the breakfast was standard Hampton fare with little variety as expected....

We arrived around 5pm on a Friday evening. There were several valets available and came to get our car very quickly. One was very friendly (I can't remember his name but slender, ball head) asked why we were there and gave us awesome suggestions as far as food and drinks. All his suggestions were A+ and delicious! During our weekend...

From the first person that met us at the door when our airport cab dropped us off, to the staff at the desk, at breakfast and everything in between, we felt welcomed and valued. The accommodations are very good, the breakfast was much better than we'd expected and the coffee/tea throughout the day was a welcome savings to our pocket....

My family and I vacationed in New Orleans and this hotel was conveniently located two blocks from the quarter, great pricing and everyone was very friendly. This Hampton Inn is awesome! The location is just outside the French Quarter, making it convenient yet quiet. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
