I loved the Hampton Inn in the New Orleans French Quarter. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed and sheets were extremely comfortable. They offered a good complimentary breakfast with a lot of choices. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the ideal location, right on the streetcar for easy access to uptown and minutes walking from anyplace in the French quarter. Them from desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the rooms and bath were clean and comfortable. I don't know why Hampton inn goes for the tinest possible shampoo and conditioner bottles but at least they're better than...

The hotel is convenient to all attractions in the city while avoiding the late night noise in some areas. The staff was friendly and helpful in planning our activities. We find when traveling that Hampton Inns usually provide quality for a reasonable price; however, this Inn is exceptional. It compares with much more expensive hotels.

Impressed with room. Larger than I expected. They held our luggage until check in and after check out. Very clean, wonderful breakfast including waffles, fruit, bagels, toast, muffins, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage. Outside the front door is a stop for the trolley. Friendly staff.

The Hampton Inn French Quarter was a good choice for a hotel. The location was perfect for us-2 blocks from the French Quarter and Canal Street and right on the Street Car line. The rooms were quiet and clean. The staff could not have been better. They were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was indeed a very pleasant hotel to stay at. It was located on Carondelet Street, a short distance from Canal Rd & directly opposite all the action on Bourbon Street. Being this tiny bit removed meant that there was no disturbing noise to interfere with sleep, but you were right there for the action. The room was very clean...

The location of this hotel was great. It was easy to walk to everything we were interested in. Other than that, it was a pretty average hotel. There was no wow factor, although I would return because of the convenience.

This is what I would call good value 4 star accommodation. Breakfast included, kind size bed, reasonable size, s little kid but clean but very dark. Good location on the extension of Bourbon St Breakfast was good enough Lifts are secure which is safe and required for New Orleans

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
