I wish I could write two reviews, one for the Guesthouse and another for the breakfast. The Guesthouse was very nice. Our room had a nice old southern style, the courtyard was very nice, and most things worked well. But it does need some 'love'. A little of the paint is pealing, one door was sticky and a few other...

Located right off the streetcar line between the Garden District and French Quarter made this a quiet and convenient stay. We especially enjoyed the room, which was decorated 'bordello' style and was so quiet we slept through breakfast.

We had a late flight out and they kept our luggage for us so we could wander around the city after we checked out on our last day in New Orleans. The house looks a little worse for wear but is neat and clean. The location is fantastic with the streetcar line around the corner and a two minute walk...

The staff was so friendly and personable. Breakfast was truly southern style which I loved! I've stayed here twice and love the fact that I can hop a streetcar around the block and get to the Quarter or go deeper into the Garden District. It's a quiet spot versus a B&B in the noisy Quarter. I loved being off the...

I usually stay in corporate hotels for my business travel but have been away from home so much I thought I would try something different. The Creole Garden was perfect. Walking to shops, coffee, and food. Easy driving, especially since I had work downtown. The location was clean, everyone was friendly, cheery and I felt very well cared for. I...

The "Creole Gardens Inn" is a very nice old house with charming things everywhere. We enjoyed our three days there very much, the staff was very helpful, the breakfast was really good and everything was perfect. Although our room was "old" the furniture was sought with love and good taste. The bed and the mattress were really comfortable. the plumbing...

Hello all, my lovely fiancee and I just returned from a great stay at Creole Gardens in NOLA with our two dogs. The larger is a 4 yr old male of 70+ lbs and the smaller a female of 40 lbs who is 8 yrs young. Both are very well trained and have stayed in hotels across the country (i.e....

This is the way I like New Orleans. Old and new. Clean with friendly staff and funky old buildings exuding old neoCreole charm. The made to order breakfast with crawfish omelettes and other egg dishes made it unnecessary to seek out a breakfast elsewhere. Great location off the St. Charles streetcar line at the entrance to the Garden District. Lest...

Let me start off by saying the staff was wonderful. The first thing I loved about the room was the clean smell. The rooms and furniture are old, but lovingly restored and clean. This was exactly the kind of experience we were looking for in New Orleans. We did not want a hotel room that looked like all the others,...

Creole Gardens is a lovely B&B in a great area. It's easy to access Uptown or the French Quarter from here. I stayed in the smallest room, and because they were booked and couldn't upgrade me the staff reduced the price of the room twice for me! Really friendly, great people who run this place. Additionally, the breakfast each morning...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
