Stayed in one of the Cottage Rooms. Although small, the room was extremely clean, the A/C worked very well, and the bed was very comfortable. Easy to find, good on-location parking, and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely return in the future.

There are many nice things to say about Creole Gardens, but the highlights of my trip were the friendly staff (Keith was so nice and helpful--and fun to talk to!), the great location, and the well-appointed, lovely rooms. I would definitely return and plan to make Creole Gardens my go-to hotel every time I visit the Crescent City. We had...

This was our first trip to New Orleans, and our dog's first long trip away from home. This is a fun place for people to stay and a truly pet-friendly bed and breakfast. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the city, and the location was pleasant, safe, and convenient.

Every aspect of our stay at Creole Gardens was exceptional. From the early correspondence in booking two rooms together to the upgrade of our rooms upon arrival to the actual stay itself. The location is perfect...one block from the trolley which gets you to the heart of the Garden District and French Quarter in just a few minutes ride. It's...

Every time I come back to Creole Gardens, I feel like I'm home again. Karen and Steve are wonderful hosts. I love when Mitch Woods drops by for a genuine Nawlins boogie woogie brunch or evening on their piano. He's great. Fabulous location in the Lower Garden District one block from the St. Charles streetcar. Lovely, funky, warm hospitality. Go...

Every year we come to New Orleans for Jazz Fest, we always stay at the Creole Gardens. It's become like a home away from home. It's quiet (I always sleep like a log), in a nice neighborhood, and the location is perfect – within the Garden District (a short walk to Magazine Street), a block away from the trolley and...

We got 2 rooms the weekend prior to when I was speaking at a NOLA conference. Our daughter and fiance (and their 2 dogs) drove from Houston to stay with us. Overall everything was as advertised. While their located right on the trolly line, we opted to walk to the French Quarter which was a nice walk. There were also...

We loved the room we stayed in. Had a private balcony overlooking the street. Access was by a large window. Very clean. Full of history. Close to the trolley-1 block. We were travelling with a truck and trailer and they were able to accomodate the trailer. Breakfast not too exciting but decent. Will definitely stay again if we are ever...

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
