We've stayed at The Chimes three times this year, with and without a car. There's no problem to find a place to park, and it's in a walkable location and near the streetcar line if you don't want to drive. The beds and rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is wonderful, and the fabulous hosts and interesting guests from around...

This B and B is perfect for a stay in New Orleans if you are looking for someplace that allows you to park your car and walk or ride the street car. We were able to walk to magazine street and drink and eat . The New York Pizza is great for a great drink and some good pizza. Nothing...

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Chimes. It is conveniently located on a quiet block that is walking distance to Magazine St. and St. Charles. The beautiful courtyard was a great place to chill out when we had a few moments to relax during our busy stay. Breakfast is a highlight here - a delicious continental assortment at a...

The owners were really helpful in getting us airport transport and daily trolly/bus passes and recommendations for walking tours (and walking tour apps) and restaurants. Every restaurant they recommended was amazing. We appreciated recommendations from people who have lived many years in the area. There are a few great restaurants walking dist. from here - also a short walk to...

Thank you for taking the time to review the Chimes B&B. It's those like yourself who help the industry thrive by weeding out the properties who should not be in business.

First of all we would like to thank our hostess Susan for her availability, helpful suggestions and overall warm and welcoming personality. The location is very convenient to public transportation and provides a quiet setting in a neighborhood of beautiful homes with striking architecture. The breakfasts were yummy, always including fresh fruit and fresh pastries (sometimes still warm!). I did...

Thank you for submitting such a nice review of the Chimes Bed and Breakfast. This is the first we have heard about any wireless problems and will sort the problem immediately. The Chimes has the fastest UVerse system available and has not been problematic. Thank you for letting us know.

I could not have chosen a better 'home away from home' while in New Orleans. Jill and Charles are welcoming and friendly. Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
