Had an excellent time in New Orleans that particular weekend. Had to race home on Sunday due to a family emergency and forgot my house keys in the hotel room. Fortunately the hotel staff and Officer Huey Harrison were kind enough to send them via overnight delivery. It's comforting to know they have my back. Thanks again to Officer Harrison...

The location was ideal. The entire staff was as a "5". Everyone was so courteous, professional and went beyond what was expected. Thank you to the night manager (Angel) and her co-worker who were absolutely wonderful and so hospitable to my family. They really made us feel at home. Unfortunately, the room was mediocre at best. There was multiple strands...

The bed was super comfy ad it's in a good location, but that's about it. Normally we stay in B&B's but friends were staying downtown so we chose here. Check in was fine, but when I asked where I could get a pedicure, they looked at me like a deer in headlights and told me to ask the concierge. Which...

I recently attended a conference and chose to stay at Intercontinental rather than the conference hotel. I made this decision based mainly on TripAdvisor reviews and photos. The hotel is in a pretty good location, close to French Quarter but far enough (3 blocks?) to maintain your sanity. It is also located within easy walking distance to the Riverwalk, and...

Dear Michael S, Thank you very much for the review of our hotel and the feedback regarding our HSIA. Our free offering is by design not capable of supporting a video conference. We appreciate that you took the time to write about your experience and the great service provided by our team. We hope that you were able to try...

We recently stayed here for 4 nights. We were upgraded to a suite so we had plenty of room. Can't find 1 negative about the room at all! The king size bed was incredibly comfortable, the towels were so soft, water pressure good and the staff that we came in contact with were very helpful. The location was quiet but...

Stayed 3 nights on a recent family vacation to the area. We had 2 Queen Beds (between Queen and Full) and balcony. We was nice size and the shower was separate from sink area. Room was nicely equipped with TV, coffee maker and a desk/chair. Service was great in that the kept our bags prior to checking in and after...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental New Orleans recently for 3 days for business, and chose it simply because it was within walking distance to the Federal Courthouse. The service was excellent and the friendly staff accommodated our every need. The location is also perfect and within walking distance of excellent restaurants and shopping. Also the most...

With noticeably comfortable beds, pleasant towels and platy of hot water in nice bathrooms it sounds an ideal place. Unfortunately, poor air quality (cigarette smoke ruminants, mildew, and excess of air freshener mix), coupled with dirty carpets and dusty panels made my stay one of the worst. My breathing system became so irate that I had to seek medical help....

For the most part, this hotel was average. The negative is the poor room insulation. I could hear the neighbors conversations. Not muffled but very clear. Room was decorated nice and updated. The bath area was above average. Lots of space to allow us to get ready in the morning. Excellent staff and great front desk service.

While I travel a great deal, I don't often write "reviews". But my experience at the Intercontinental Hotel in New Orleans has been so phenomenal, that I want to share it with everyone. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
