Wow factor here. Arrival was easy, property and rooms were spotless, everyone was happy to be there, such a change from everything else Hilton in the Quarters. Location in reference to Bourbon street can't be beat. The only problem we experienced was with our room safe, when I went to lock it the batteries were dead. Called down to the...

Classy lobby and opulent style. I got a small room, but it was richly furnished nonetheless. Close to the main drag and just 5 min walk to Bourbon St, which is good thing given how crazy and/or loud things get. Had awesome FRIED chicken - better than NOLA!!

We had the pleasure of spending last Thanksgiving at the Roosevelt. It was a wonderful stay. This is a gorgeous hotel with plush rooms, nightly turndown service, and very attentive staff. The concierge was able to secure a highly sought after dining reservation for us. Easy walking distance to the French Quarter and to the Street Car. I would stay...

We stayed here for my dad's 70th birthday and we had 3 separate rooms. Upon arriving to our rooms, they left some 'treats' for us and had a bottle of champagne for my dad. It's located right on Canal St., 2 blocks from Bourbon St. so it's right in the heart of action. The hotel has 3 restaurants, one of...

My husband and I decided to take a short 3 day vacation and after searching through reviews we settled on The Roosevelt New Orleans. First night we requested...

We stayed in the Roosevelt mainly because of its great location and it being a Hilton Hotel! Glad we did- the hotel holds so much history, many of the doormen and staff can tell you some of the old stories associated with the Roosevelt. The rooms were quite comfortable, we stayed on the 10th floor in one of the suites...

This place is the top of the top, the decor and restaurants have this top of the notch. The rooms are very nice but kinda small but have everything you want inside of them. The bathrooms are to die for with the different shower heads coming for all different directions.

Had a wonderful stay at the Waldorf. What an amazing hotel. Total glamor and luxury! The service is remarkable and the attention to detail is outstanding. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city. I would definitely stay there again. The location is close to the Quarter but far enough away to know you have left.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
