Great hotel and great location. I was there for a conference and enjoyed every second of my stay at the Roosevelt. The rooms were beautiful and very well taken care of. Great service by everyone that I encountered at the hotel - including the business center that helped us out with an extra meeting room after a crisis. The food...

My family and I booked two rooms at the Roosevelt for 4 nights over Labor Day weekend, and while many aspects of the hotel are outstanding, some are not so impressive (especially for a Waldorf Astoria property). Let's start with the good: The Roosevelt is located off the busy Bourbon Street area, so it was nice to get away from...

I was in town for a work related conference, which was held at The Roosevelt. The meeting facilities were great and the food was AMAZING. The lobby is beautiful. I enjoyed the rooftop pool and hot tub. I did wish the rooms were a little larger and that they had a tub instead of just a shower, but overall WONDERFUL...

This is one of the oldest and nicest hotels in New Orleans. Huey Long always stayed at the Roosevelt. I chose this because of the history, but found it to be very luxurious. The Waldorf Astoria chain purchased The Roosevelt and has restored it to its former beauty. I loved the stay and recommend it.

Hotel was great, rooms very comfortable and really well serviced (great job ladies)! Didn't use the other facilities. Dropping a mark for bell boys.. Carrying bags up the stairs to the room - not a hard ship, just one of those touches that's expected.. New Orleans has so much to offer, it's impossible to get bored!

Perfect location a block away from The French Quarter across Canal Street. Easy access to street car and bus lines. Quiet area but close to the excitement. The Roosevelt is one of the most beautiful hotels in New Orleans and elsewhere with its mosaic floors, crystal chandeliers and crown moldings. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
