Amazing! The service, rooms, and location were all wonderful! This is a beautiful hotel! Minutes from Bourbon but far enough away to not be bothered by the late night noise of it all. Safe location for walking.

Getting there from the airport is super easy, cabs are a flat fee of $36 for up to two people, or $15 per person for 3 or more. I caught an uber and paid $34. The Roosevelt is very well located, I think, as long as you're happy to walk. It's a stones throw from the French Quarter, as well...

My brother and I stayed here over our spring break for a couple of nights to experience New Orleans for the first time, and we loved it so much. The staff were great-- Everyone we spoke with was very helpful, kind, and genuinely interested in making us and every guest enjoy their stay. The hotel itself was very beautiful, lavish,...

This has to be one of the worst hotels in terms of services for the business traveller. On check in - I requested for a high floor and in a 14 floor hotel the best they could do was the 6th. The rooms are small (unlike the Ritz across the road) and tired with the elevators taking for ever. The...

This is a wonderful hotel in New Orleans; great price and comfort. Location is perfect too. We were upgraded to a fine suite. Shout out to Randy at valet and Moriaki in the the Fountain Lounge. We would definitely stay here again.

I love history, comfort and luxury! The Roosevelt, brings it all together. It's location is perfect for dining, shopping and site seeing. Best of both world, easy access or enough under roof to stay in for the entire evening! A+

Great Staff, Comfortable Room and plenty of pecks to make you feel worth it! This hotel provides what one expects for a hotel. Restaurants, bars and coffee shop. I highly recommend for its location for visiting New Orleans. It can be a great hotel for a quick weekend get away.

This is an upscale hotel, classy, with charm and elegance. We were there for 3 nights, enjoyed the cooked to order breakfast, roof top pool, and the attention to detail. Men's toilet in the lobby needed some attention and it took a while to get resolved. Otherwise no problems. I was able to get a VERY good price for our...

We had a great experience here while visiting Tulane. I always want to stay in the middle of the French Quarter but I am always afraid of parking and when it comes time to book nervous about staying in FQ with my kids and cleanliness so...I opt to stay within walking distance of the French Quarter so I can come...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
