I loved this place. Parking right there and wonderful area to walk to street car. The breakfast was great as well. I love hard boiled eggs. Also, the coffee in the room was excellent! The room was very nice and looked out across the court; the old French windows were great. Mrs. Bailey's was very nice, friendly and fun. I...

Going for it: very good rates for French Quarter abode, excellent location (no car needed for our 3 days), reception helpful, breakfast a step above average, simple check-in and out, quiet at night, good towels replenished daily. Going against it: tempurpedic mattress was upside down so that there was no memory foam on the top (we have one and they...

This is the second year I have stayed at this hotel during this same week of December. It is a perfect location to be in inside the French Quarter but just away from the chaos of Bourbon Street. The folks here are ALL friendly and helpful. The tempurpedic beds are fabulous!! We had the front facing balcony room which is...

Not much new to offer from other reviews but can say that our stay was great. Very pleasant staff, clean rooms and a decent breakfast. Nothing fancy here but well managed and staffed. Would certainly stay there in the future.

My goal for New Orleans--be close to Bourbon Street but not so close you don't get a good night's sleep. Dauphine was perfect! Located a block from the heart of the action, Dauphine Orleans was the perfect place to rest our heads after a long day of wandering the bustling streets of the French Quarter. Everything we needed was within...

I recently stayed one night at the hotel to attend a wedding in New Orleans. Here are my notables : Customer Service : I requested an early check in and was pleased that they accommodated me. In my limited interactions with the staff I found them all to be professional, courteous, and helpful. Room: We stayed in the Herman House...

We stayed in the main building. Well maintained and charming. As many other reviews have stated, the location is perfect, close many bars, restaurants and the action of Bourbon Street without having to deal with the noise. The staff was great. From the front desk and valet to the ladies that work breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful.

Really can't say enough good things about the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. We arrived here on Thanksgiving day - it was pretty quiet but the receptionist had a list of open restaurants which was very useful. The location is great - walking distance to Bourbon Street but far enough so you can get a good nights sleep. The room was clean...

My wife, daughter, and I stayed at the Dauphine Orleans from December 6 to 12. I highly recommend this hotel. Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
