We stayed across from the main bldg, Hermann section. Rooms gave the feel of the historic district with decor, courtyard. Be aware some rooms face street (noise),but you gain a balcony. We had a sloping slippery bathtub, without safety bars-would be dangerous for elderly etc. Front desk answered questions, and addressed all issues. Nice extras include daily water, nice breakfast,...

Although this hotel is in a great location within walking distance to many attractions, our room (111) was dated and smelled musty/moldy. The carpet in the room and on the stairs leading up to the room was dated and dirty. The bathroom was dated and the tile floor had many cracks. Our room was above the MayBailey bar, which had...

Excellent location in the French Quarter. Easy walking distance to everything in the French Quarter. Friendly, helpful staff. A touch of old New Orleans. We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay here on our next visit to New Orleans.

Rooms in the main house are in dire need of renovations. New carpet ans a coat of paint would do wonders. Also, was given a price when I made my reservations and they arbitrarily raised the price of one of my nights by $30:(

My wife and I have stayed at the Dalphine many times ove the years. The location in the haters provides easy access toshopping, food and enertainment as well as immersion in the culture of the quarters. The location is perfect for the French Quarters Festival. The service and facilities are usually excellent but we had several problems during our most...

Room was very clean. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Very nice breakfast-fruit/cereal/waffles/sausage/assorted breads. Staff went the extra-mile, gave 110% to make our stay extra memorable! I would most definitely recommend this hotel.

We did like location, but were disappointed in room service. We should not have to asked to have clean towels when we get back to room after a long day. Front desk person had to bring up fresh towels as room had not been serviced.

This was a great hotel choice. The hotel staff was very friendly and gave us excellent recommendations about things to do in the area. The pool area was really nice, and extra bonus was the comfort of the lounge chairs. I wasn't aware when I booked this hotel how perfect the location was. We walked to everything in the French...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
