We stayed at the Livingston Inn as a base for visiting Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin house and studio at nearby Spring Green. The inn is well situated for downtown Madison with good on street parking availability. Our host Peggy was extremely welcoming and we enjoyed learning about the history of the building. She was also able to give recommendations as...

We're very glad you enjoyed your stay at our B&B and included Taliesin among your itinerary while in Madison. It's an amazing place and one of the top attractions for our guests. Fall is also such a beautiful time here, so we are very happy we could welcome here during this time of year. Thank you for taking the time...

This was a real find. After finding Hertz closed a few minutes after our plane landed and only heading out of the airport finally by midnight, we easily found the Livingston Inn on Gorham and settled right in. No need to go out for a nightcap as beer, wine and soda as well as a few sweet and savory treats...

This is a really pretty house and garden, very comfortable. Peggy is one of the best b and b hosts I've encountered and goes the extra mile for her guests. Breakfast was delicious, gourmet, and healthy. Breakfast is definitely a cut above what's often served at b and b's: stuffed french toast bombs.

We had a great time at Livingston Inn. We were visiting the University of Wisconsin and the Inn is a nice walk from the campus. Peggy and Dave, the hosts, are very nice and welcoming people and the breakfast was sensational and different every day. The rooms in the Inn are a bit fussy (not to say fusty) so be...

Thank you for your review and very apt description of a stay at our B&B. We definitely strive to find the balance between lace doilies everywhere and decor that looks like another sterile hotel room. We hope people find it unique and something unlike any other place they've stayed yet still comfortable and enjoyable. We look forward to welcoming you...

We stayed here this past weekend and had a very good stay. Peggy was a delightful host. Upon arrival she gave us the tour of the place and explained where to find the complimentary pinot noir, white wine, beer and sparkling water. After serving breakfast each morning, she stayed around to chat with the guests and offer suggestions for sightseeing...

For once we had a bit more time passing through Madison. This delightful house has been thoughtfully decorated throughout. Over the years the house was modernized leading to creative solutions for bathroom space. These were well done. While located on a busy street, noise was not an issue. The room was comfortable and clean. The owner took the time to...

We see a lot of people come and go throughout the year. Most of the time, we have the opportunity to engage with them individually and, often at breakfast, to include other guests in the simple joy of conversation and meeting other people. But for us to have the pleasure to welcome a family staying in the inn and then...

I was initially a little sceptical, the reviews were great but a B&B at 5 star hotel prices, really, how could it be? The photos looked, depending on your point of view either very quaint or a little scary, we were not sure what to expect. The experience proved so memorable and enjoyable that i would now not dream of...
