This KOA has a beautiful view of the snow capped mountains but the RV sites were rocky and not really easy to walk on. Every other RV campground, including other KOAs have gravel sites or concrete pads. We stayed here on the last day they...More
One of our favourite KOA's. It was so well maintained, big sites, super clean, everything you need and the staff were super helpful and warm. Also super close to Mesa Verde and heaps of shops nearby. Only downside for us was the price - $51.66...More
This KOA was very clean and in order. This site had it all showers, pool, rec lounge, and a place to clean your dishes. We stayed here for 3 days while we visited Mesa Verde, which was nothing but spectacular.
This KOA is very clean and well maintained. Stayed 3 nights and staff was very helpful. Thanks to their recommendation to purchase tickets for tours the day before for Mesa Verde. Definitely will be back!
No real complaints with this KOA. Meets all the KOA standards you expect. Pull-through type lots a plenty, clean & spacious restrooms/showers, nicely laid out lounge and store. Next to a huge 3-acre city dog "nature run" area so very dog friendly. Would be nice...More
The towering flat-topped ridge of Mesa Verde National Park rises less than 15 minutes away from this KOA near the four corners where Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah meet. After visiting the 700-year-old …Morecliff dwellings in the park's canyon walls, return to your own high desert oasis. Swim in the heated pool or round up a game of basketball or horseshoes. Enjoy the 1-mile walking trail around Denny Lake (with fishing along the trail) and the 3-acre enclosed dog park. Stock up on supplies and souvenirs in the grocery store and gift shop. Take a day trip to Utah's Monument Valley, the setting for several of John Wayne's most famous Westerns. In addition to Mesa Verde, Native American life is chronicled at Hovenweep National Monument and the Anasazi Heritage Center. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 80 feet. Less

They do have campfire rings, but if I remember correctly, they ask that you not bring your own firewood. They have it available for purchase. Sometimes in severe drought conditions the county may impose a total ban on open burning, but that would be rare and the campground would let you know about any such restriction.
