Don't arrive expecting an ultra-modern facility...you won't find hi-def flat screens in every room, and the rooms are not large. What you will find is a quiet, very well maintained facility, owned and staffed by people who obviously care about the property and your comfort. The "ultra clean" advertisement is an understatement. I think this may well be the cleanest...

We booked the White Eagle Inn over the phone as a stop over during a two week road trip. We stayed in some of the fancier, more expensive Hotels in bigger cities, but we needed something in this area as a place to stop and rest. What a great decision! This is reminiscent of the motels you always stayed in...

We stayed at the white eagle on our way to Mesa Verde. The host gave us great directions and good advice as to when to visit the site. She also directed us to a great resturants for breakfast and dinner in town. The hotel was about a mile south of Cortez which was away from the noise and congestion. The...

I have some mixed feelings about this place. First the positive. 1. It is well located, close to Mesa Verde NP. 2. Not expensive, good for travelling on a budget. But: 1. we arrived very late and I could tell the owner wasn't too happy about that. He certainly wasn't very friendly and closed his office two minutes after we...

we arrived at 8:00 pm and were scolded for not arriving earlier. And then informed that they (The owners i assume) would appreciate if we would ready to check out by 8:30 am. Need i say anymore? Oh but i must! A very nice coffee pot, however, no coffee or tea. A very nice frig, unplugged. In the bathroom a...

This was a stopover for us on the way to California. It had great reviews and certainly did not disappoint! Jedecaiah (sp?), the owners son, made it even better. He was friendly and shared a great deal about his background and how he came to help his parents run the motel. Cortez is a beautiful little town at the four...

I hate to call this a Mom & Pop. It is owned by a young couple who are obviously doing it right. My wife and I stayed here in October 2014 while on a road trip. Of all the place we stayed during our month on the road, the White Eagle Inn was one of the vey best. It was...

We stayed for 2 nights. The location is great. It's 2 miles to the Colorado Welcome Center, where we buy the tickets to the Cliff Palace. Mesa Verde is 7 miles away. The rooms are clean. The price is very good. There is fridge in the room. The microwave is out by the office. We bought microwaveable meals and had...

Had a wonderful experience at this nostalgic little mom and pop place. Brought back memories of staying at little motels like this, when I was a kid in the 1960s. The owners were very nice, and seemed appreciative of us staying with them. Room was comfortable and Wi-Fi worked fine. No breakfast offered, but there are serveral affordable places in...

This motel probably hasn't changed much in the last 30 years - but what it offers are comfortable, clean rooms, friendly service and all at a budget price. The rooms look like they have not changed much in the years, but are very clean, bed is comfortable, and you can park right outside of your room. The motel is at...
