We spent 2 nights this past week at Canyon of the Ancients Guest Ranch outside of Cortez, CO. Our family of 4 was very comfortable in the Eldon Stone House. With 2 queen bedrooms, 1 twin room, a full kitchen, laundry room and comfortable living room, it had everything we needed and more. In fact, it was quite luxurious and...

This might be one of the more memorable places we have ever stayed . This is such a unquie place to stay. The history of the different homes and cabins bring you back in time with historical decoration and construction. This is a working ranch with cattle, sheep , goats, horses, chickens , cats , dogs etc. Garry & Ming...

This is a very interesting and beautiful place. It is a working cattle ranch with sheep and goats and chickens around. It is not a B&B so no food is offered but our cabin had a refrigerator, toaster oven and microwave and a grill outside, so some cooking is possible. Cortez is about 30 minutes away for shopping or restaurants....

Hi Gail, Thanks so much for taking time sharing your experience. We really appreciate your support to our ranch and we enjoy meeting you both. We would love to learn how you would recommend for us to improve upon the service and value part that did not get your 5-star review. We strive to make things better and better here...

A complete farm experience and delightful host and hostess, Garry and Ming Adams. Fix your own breakfast with their eggs and tomatoes. Each cottage is different with unique furnishings and its own history.

Our family stayed in the Eldon Stone House for 5 days. It's a piece of history of the American West and its current owners Ming & Garry take care of this gem while being the most welcoming hosts you will ever meet. The Stone house is one of several that they rent. The experience was unforgettable from: reading their own...

Canyon of the Ancients Ranch is a working farmstead in the very peaceful McElmo Canyon. It contains several detached lodges of varying sizes and designs, all with cooking facilities. The setting is very quiet and relaxing, the lodges are clean and comfortable. Garry and Ming are very welcoming hosts with a wealth of local knowledge that they share freely and...

Myself and my partner visited from Ireland and spent 6 nights at this special location. We stayed in the Cowboy Log Cabin, which in itself is a piece of history. Despite being historic, it is beautifully decorated and presented and features all mod-cons. The Ranch is also an attraction in itself, with the beauty of the site and interacting with...

The Guest Ranch is off the beaten path (but not to far from town) and offers a perfect opportunity to kick back and relax, go for a hike or visit nearby ruins. Every time we visit---we begin to plan our return trip.

My husband, 4 children and I stayed here for 1 night and wish it had been more! I didn't know what to expect as we drove farther and farther down a pretty desolate road. We finally arrived at the ranch and it was the perfect change of pace from Crested Butte where we were staying. The Pioneer House could not...

My husband, Steve and I spent 5 days at Canyons Of The Ancients Ranch. There are so many great things to say about our stay, I'll need to trim the list! Gary and Ming were so gracious and helpful and invited us up to their home to watch the sunset. We had fresh eggs every day during our stay. We...
