Great overnight stay. This place is clean and maintained. The owner is very welcoming. The rooms are easy to access and it's safe. It was a Good value too. All the restaurants are close by. We ate at the Loung'n Lizard it was great.

We normally stay at mid-range hotels, but we weren't planning on spending more than 12 hours in Cortez (a stop along a road trip) so I booked Tomahawk Lodge for its price and generally good reviews. Most other reviews are spot on: older building, kind staff, basic rooms. The rooms had everything we needed, though guests might want to consider...

We stayed at the Tomahawk for two nights. The woman who owns the hotel is very kind, attentive to detail, and helpful. The room was clean. The beds were firm, a bit too much for my taste, but workable. The linens are rather worn. The decor is basic 1970s with nothing attractive to boast of. The shower noise was immense...

The only thing I can say nice is that it has cute tomahawks on each door. I rarely ever go to a motel/hotel/lodge without checking out the room first, but we were tired and the tomahawks were cute. It smelled dreadful. Nasty carpets, drapes and spreads gave the room a dead body smell. Of course we'd already paid for the...

Hello, what a harsh review. I am so sorry that you did not come to the office - I would return a money if you really felt so bed even so I personally check all the rooms before renting out to make sure they are clean and pleasant. I tried to localize the time and room number you stayed, I...

The owner was very sweet and helpful when we checked in. The room was a bit outdated but was clean, there was a fridge but no clock so come prepared We came back through Cortez on our way home and stayed again. It's nothing fancy, but it worked for us. They are also pet friendly.

The room was clean but the light fixtures over the bed did not work and this is annoying since I like to read in bed at night. Not presented as a 5 star but reasonable rate to match the "reasonable" rooms.

This is a typical 60's style motel. It is old and in need of some TLC. The rooms were clean but the spreads and furniture was a blast from the past. Probably the same stuff for 40 years. They had already closed the pool, but then again, maybe then didn't even open it. Sadly with newer and bigger hotels in...

I stay here every time I'm in Cortez. It's just as great the fifth time as the first. The same people have owned it since the first time I was there in 2007 and it's always a joy to visit with their great danes. More polite dogs you could never find. The rooms have always been clean, quiet, even when...

The Tomahawk Lodge is an old style u shaped motel that offers few extras. I was in the building in the rear, behind, the original U. It was farther from the highway but an occasional highway noise could be heard. The room was clean but basic; no coffee maker, microwave or refrigerator but the shower had all the hot water...
