Not just dog-tolerant but actually dog-friendly. The room was rather small and the bed creaky, but it was clean. It's rare in this day and age to have an owner in residence, and even better that she keeps good coffee available in the lobby all day long.

A bit tired perhaps, but clean and well presented. Friendly and helpful staff. On the main road (160) but quiet. Comfortable beds. Breakfast coffee and "snack". Good value for money, $65 - $ 75 (plus tax) per night.

After spending hours at Mesa Verdi it was good to find a such a clean motel with a comfortable bed! The owner went out of her way to assist us with a problem. Smaller mOtel but worth staying here. Coffee available in reception at all times.

I always stay at this quaint Motel when on a road trip. Its a favorite stop and affords one a flashback to another era of motor lodging. The owners/ operators are extremely friendly and accommodating. I always looked forward to seeing and being greeted by the friendly Great Danes on premises. The Rooms are clean and tidy. Beds firm. I stayed 2 nights at this charming retro motel while I visited Mesa Verde NP. I came back to a spotlessly clean room to rest in. The owner is warm and friendly and welcoming. I recommend this motel for single and couple travelers.

We stayed 4 nights here and found it to be very clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and always smiling. Bed was comfortable and quiet. TV was a little small but had lots of channels, we don't travel to watch TV so no big deal. I would stay here again if traveling through.

The Tomahawk Lodge is an older motel, but clean and handy to restaurants and grocery stores in Cortez. It is very close to Mesa Verde Park and a good alternative to the rather expensive lodging in the park. The manager was very nice and gave us good tips about restaurants.

It's clean, the bed is firm and the TV old, but who cares about a TV, after having visited several National Parks in the vicinity... The rooms are dated, but clean and everything works just fine... The manager is welcoming and very accommodating.. It's a super motel for the price they're asking.. If you're hungry, I can not recommend the... More

I am amazed that this "dump" received the rating it has on your site. The room old and used up, it was somewhat clean except for the carpet which was old and dirty. The TV was very old and outdated. There was no kleenex provided. The floor lamp did not work. The physical appearance of the property is disgraceful. I... More

Hello, I don't have anything to be ashamed with regards to this property. It is not a Hyatt Hotel, it is older family operated motel - but clean, quiet with full attention to our guests needs and the price is right. If you really rented a room in our motel and was so bad for you that you have to... More

The service was good while being reasonable in price. This is an older renovated lodge that is conveniently located for Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients and other southwest Colorado sites. The room was clean,
