It was a great trip. We traveled with a high maintenance bulldog. The staff were great to us and our dog. The buffet was great the staff kept it clean and it was hot when it was supposed to be hot and cold when it was supposed to be cold. When we found our room was by the elevators and next door to a loud family the manager did allow us to move to a quieter room but, did not give us any discount or compensation for our troubles. There are no good views out of any of the windows. The pool is small but well maintained and we enjoyed our use of it, with a couple of other families. The front desk, kitchen, and cleaning staff were warm charming and did more than expected. The manager was not so. The location was equidistant to both our desired sites providing an affordable comfortable location.

We got the king suite. It was very roomy. Separate bedroom, living area, dining area and full kitchen. There was a hallway between the living area and bedroom and bathroom. The decor was very dated, but the room was still comfortable. The bed was a little harder than some nicer hotels but I still thought it was comfortable. The windows had blinds instead of room darkening curtains, so the room never got totally dark. If you need a really dark room to sleep, this is not the room for you. There was a large walk in closet in the bedroom. It would be a good place for someone who needed to be there several days. There was a TV in the living area and the bedroom. I loved the shower head. Great water pressure. The hallway reeked of stale cigarette smoke, but the room did not. I noticed not all the hallways smelled. The breakfast was decent. Eggs, sausage, waffles, muffins, cereal.

The room was fine. However, I left some hanging clothes behind in my room. One shirt was very expensive and new, and I wanted it back. After leaving SEVERAL messages for management and housekeeping, not ONE return phone call. I'm sure one of the housekeepers is enjoying my new shirt. This is unacceptable, and I want everyone to know what these thieves did to me.

Response from Stefanie C, Assistant General Manager at Quality Inn Chillicothe
Responded 15 Sept 2014
Dear Cspinazz, We do have your clothing items here at the hotel and I did receive a message that you had inquired about them. However, the number you left had been disconnected when I tried to call on several different occasions. Because you were in with a group and did not leave us any other information, we had no way of knowing where or who to send it to. I had your name written down both at the front desk and in housekeeping in case you tried to contact us again. I do not appreciate having our employees called thieves as we try everything we can to get items back to whom they belong. Our housekeeping team works very hard and we appreciate everything they do for us! We have all travelled and forgotten things in rooms and know what that feels like, especially when some items are more costly than others. As stated above, I have your "stolen" items and you can contact me at the number below to arrange to have them shipped out to you. Any further comments need to be directed to me through the number below. Thank you, Stefanie Clay Assistant General Manager Quality Inn Chillicothe (740) 775-3500

Cheap old hotel at nice new hotel price. If you’re expecting a cheap musty old hotel, you’ll be perfectly happy here. If you’re expecting to pay a price that reflects that condition, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Only come here if you have to.

They charged an obscene amount to stay in Chillicothe, Ohio. Then, when I got stuck in horrendous traffic jam and couldn't make it for my reservation. They refused to cancel my reservation because I missed by half an hour the very early deadline that was slipped into the fine print. Thanks for nothing

Listen, sometimes you just need to stay in a crappy hotel. Maybe you’ve been driving for 100 hours and it’s 3am and all drivers in your car are exhausted and you’re in nowhere Ohio and you just need a place to shut your eyes for a few hours before getting the hell out of here. If that’s the situation, you really could do worse than the Quality Inn Chillicothe. If that’s not your situation, then I’d recommend driving on until you find a hotel that is nothing at all like the Quality Inn Chillicothe.
It smells very bad and nothing about it screams “I am cleaned regularly and thoroughly.” It’s also like.....30% more costly than I’d expect Nowhere Ohio to be, but I guess they know they’ve got quite the captive audience because if you didn’t have to be here, there’s simply no way you would.

2.5 stars so the room was fine. The pool was very nice. The staff was very helpful, except for one incident at the front desk with a lady who did not know the buildings were either A, B, C, you get the picture. I told her we were in A-117. She told me that there were not any letters for the room number and the entrance we used had a great big "A" over the door. LOL But, NO Wi-FI!!!!!!!

I was visiting my Grandmother that lives in Chillicothe and there wasn't room for all of us to stay with her. My daughter and I ended up going to this hotel and was very disappointed in the service. I had to stay two nights until there was room at my Aunts house. The room smelled of smoke, my two year old goes to the cancer center so wasn't happy about that. Went to use the restroom and there was dried up pee all over the seat. Being a nurse I was grossed out by this. I called down to the front desk, the lady told me housecleaning wouldn't be available until morning. I mean really??? So I get to sit in a room that wasn't cleaned. I took my daughter downstairs to the front desk and the lady said the best they could do was give me a rag and some cleaning material. Excuse me, I paid for a hotel. I don't get paid to clean up after someone else urine. So yes I am writing a bad review due to what happened. Didn't even offer to move us or take our bill down. I also told my whole family to never stay there.

I did not have super high expectations coming into this hotel, it exceeded in some areas and fell short in others.
The rooms are spacey and clean. The bathrooms could use some updating with very old showers. Some of the lights were super dim in the room, and the air conditioner was extra loud.
The fitness center was better than I expected. They have 7 pieces of cardio equipment and dumbbells up to 50 lbs. This was plenty to get a good workout in in the evenings.
Breakfast was seriously subpar. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs, and the oatmeal was cold. I don't have high expectations of any hotel continental breakfast, but this fell short, for sure.
I would try to avoid this place if I am back in town. It wasn't dreadful, but the rooms could be updated, and the breakfast could be much improved to make this hotel nicer.

The staff was extremely nice, the rooms were spotless, it was quiet and well kept. I will definitely stay here again when traveling in the area. It is close to the highways and has several restaurants within walking distance.
