We were on a very short road trip to Nuwara Eliya and had the most amazing stay at Galway Heights and we are extremely happy we chose to spend the night here. From the welcome to the last minute of our departure, the staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating. From the front office staff to the food and beverage team, even the manager/owner himself made us feel like we had one of the best stays ever. (Sadly I couldn't get anyone's names. )The room was crisp clean and spacious, with a beautiful view with all the amenities available as per our needs, with sleek furniture and comfy beds. Food was actually much better in taste and standard compared to some of the five-star hotels we've stayed prior and I'd stay it was more worth than the price we paid for the entire stay. There was a variety of both local and western dishes, preserved with their unique taste, Loved the interior, the library, and the play area was indeed useful to spend some of our relaxing time there. Hats off to the manager and the team for all the tiny details they have thought through, well- trained staff who make sure everything is in order at all times. will definitely visit again sometime soon and recommend this hotel to all our friends and family! Overall, super impressed about the whole experience!

This was a one night stop, mainly so we could take the train to Ella the next day. The town itself is interesting for its mix of local and old British colonial heritage including a red brick Post Office and a golf course. Contrasting juxtapositions of shanty houses with grandiose hotels. This hotel is away from the centre nearer Lake Gregory, which is walkable, in a very pleasant spot. It has a colonial feel with wood panelling, a billiards room and a front lawn with tables to take tea etc. The room was lovely and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. The food was excellent, with a good mix of local and Western dishes. When they found out the it was my wife's birthday the next day, they brought a birthday cake at breakfast. That was a nice touch and they put it in a takeaway box for us. Overall, very impressed

We had a 6 nights trip to Sri Lanka in Oct'21 as the Tourism in the country was slowly awakening post the pandemic. LSR had arranged our package. Our stay at L1 Hotel at Negombo on Day 1 & Second night at Kandy were falling short of expectations and our Family of 4 was loosing our spirit . On Day 3, after a tiring day from Kandy & nearby locations we had a long drive to Nuwara Eliya , the Little England, and checked in to Hotel Galway Heights by around 9.30 pm.
We had a well groomed and professional team of GH giving us a warm welcome. While the check in was quickly completed maintaining all the Covid protocols , we had a simmering hot Roasted Pumkin soup & Focaccia bread served as Welcome drink. The rooms were very cozy with 24 hr hot water and 24 x7 hotline for any additional requirements . Wifi was perfect . Dinner that we ordered was awesome . Pool room was at our disposal , so was the Lobby bar . We enjoyed both Continental and Srilankan breakfast, went for a walk to the Forest and Lake Gregory which are nearby .
The entire atmosphere and the 2 nights that we had spent with GH was warm and serene . Kudos to the entire team who made it happen and the property is highly recommended for anybody who is planning to visit Sri Lanka . Best wishes from Jobins Chirackel and Family, India .

The hotel is in a great secluded location, few minutes Tuk tuk into nuwara eliya city centre and walking distance to lake Gregory, also lovely surrounded by lovely scenery. The room we stayed in was really spacious, very clean, modern and comfortable (also warm at night). The staff were really great, so helpful and friendly, it was my partners birthday during our stay and they helped make this a really nice evening (shout-out to Arul for this help!). The breakfasts were tasty and the evening food was also good value for money. Would recommend!

Want to recommend this hotel for their excellent customer service, food and how nice and clean the rooms were. Every staff member (front office, restaurant, room service/cleaning) was friendly, courteous and professional. Very warm and welcoming. Special remark on Shaheed and Ravindhi. Both were so friendly and helpful and Shaheed went the extra mile to give a personal touch to our stay. Will recommend this hotel for their overall great service 👍😊

We had the most amazing stay at Galway Heights Hotel. The staff bent over backwards to provide us with the things we asked for and everyone was so helpful and professional.
We loved our room. I did request a change as I particularly wanted to have a view of Naseby Tea Estate as it had a family connection, but our original room was more than adequate. Our bed was comfortable, we were provided with a heater to keep us warm on the occasional chilly night and our room boy kept it spotlessly clean.
I would like to particularly recommend the food here at Galway Heights. The chef provided exceptional cuisine (we had a la carte for two nights and buffet for one) and I noticed that not only did they respond to particular requests from us, but from other guests too. They certainly aim to give personal service.
Galway Heights was situated in the perfect spot for us. We like to walk and we were easily able to access Nuwara Eliya town centre and Lake Gregory. The hotel was happy to call a tuk tuk for us if we wanted one but we were able to negotiate a slightly better price by walking a few hundred yards around the corner.
My only reservation would be that the hotel lacks a little Sri Lankan character. It feels very like an English Hotel, with plush carpets and rose art on the walls - very pretty though they are. I think this is a nod to 'Little England', the name by which Nuwara Eliya is known. Look in Hakgala and Victoria Gardens and you'll see roses in abundance! Don't let this put you off as what it lacks in colonial or cultural charm it makes up for with its personal touch, excellent home grown produce, delicious authentic food and courteous, delightful staff.
I highly recommend this hotel if you want to be comfortable, well looked after and near the town but not in the hustle and bustle.

If you are looking for the friendliest staff, quality food and super comfortable star class rooms in Nuwara Eliya, Galway Heights is definitely the place.
We visited the hotel in July 2020. The precautionary measures taken by the team of Galway Heights to safeguard its visitors from any threat of covid 19 is commendable that you feel safe and well looked after the moment you enter the premises!The staff is well trained and extremely polite when carrying out health and hygiene measures. The food was delectably flavourful and of course they have the crispiest croissant we've ever had in Sri Lanka !
The rooms are perfectly comfortable and clean!
The most outstanding feature of this amazing hotel is its extremely welcoming staff who is friendly and hospitable that you would definitely want to visit Galway Heights again! A special Thank goes out to Assistant Operation Manager Madushan Gunawardena and Assistant Housekeeper Mr Priyantha Pradeep, The Head Chefs who personally looked into our daughter's food choices and of course for surprising us twice with picnic goodies and to Dilan, Pathum Dulara and Devindi for their excellent service!Thank you to the wonderful staff of Galway Heights for making our stay extra special and memorable!

First and foremost, I have to mention the the hospitality of the staff. Every single staff member we encountered went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was beyond excellent as they had generous portions and were beautifully prepared with care and finesse. Accomodation was very comfortable and the room was heated throughout the stay. Room service and bathroom facilities were also quite satisfactory. We even got complimentary snacks and water bottles for our return home. Have stayed in many places, but this was like staying at home in a very warm and comfortable manner, fully pampered.Truly a wonderful experience.I will not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel to anyone for their stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Your question is not clear, however I guess you ask about spacious of the room. I can assure that the bed in the double room is even enough for sleeping of 02 adult and a child up to 12 years. Room is big spacious . all basics are available. bathrooms are good and meeting standard of cold weather western countries. Food are good and if needed you may ask customized food for child. There was a young friendly manager at the time i go and he must be still there . should you have more questions, no mater please ask me,
