We stayed just one night at the Heritance Tea Factory but it was our favourite hotels during our 14 night family Sri Lanka tour. The welcome we received when we arrived in all the hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka was very good, but the Heritance Tea Factory was probably the most welcoming - they served us tea as we... More

As a guest of the hotel you can go on a 2 hr. tea factory tour. The hotel produces a small amount of tea for the hotel and to purchase. We picked the leaves and also had a tasting of 4 varities if tea. It was terrific. Don't waste time stopping at the big touristy places the guides take you... More

After a long windy road climbing high thro the tea plantations we were warmly greeted with refreshing flannels, a yellow Hindu mark was painted on our foreheads and served tea ! This hotel was once a tea factory and it still has a lot it's original machinery . Our room used to be part of the green tea drying room... More

The Hotel is converted from a old tea factory, very nicely maintained, nice rooms, great location. The tea plucking experience was really great. Kids loved it. The staff is very warm and cordial. For Vegetarians the variety of food is less so one needs to inform the hotel and the chef to make more Veg. Definitely a must visit.

We agree with other reviews that the building is quite unique, however other parts are sub-par for the price and compared to similar hotels in Sri Lanka. The exchange rate for room charge items is the worst we have seen in Sri Lanka the place is too commercialised - everything is a money grab. For example charging 250 rupee per... More

This hotel is a joke, it's so kitch and fake. We are a married couple and despite booking a double bed we received 2 single beds, this was however rectify once we complained but this should never have happened in the first place. Secondly we booked ahead a couples massage as we viewed the prices on their website and thought... More

The hotel is at a considerable distance from the main city. Hence, if the plan is to frequent the city delights the the hotel is not for you. However, if you do not mind a secluded hotel amongst a tea garden high up above the clouds then you would enjoy the stay at the hotel. However, the hotel is pricey... More

After a long drive up a narrow road we arrived at the tea factory. It is remote and almost 7000 feet up. The hotel has a quirky charm with many old features remaining and similar to a heritage museum. The rooms are small and a little old, but nicely laid out. A room heater is provided to keep you warm.... More

This hotel is stunning with beautiful original features and wonderful helpful staff, its quite a windy drive to get there and there was rainy season so didn't see the views until the cloud lifted the next day (and unfortunately then it was only for a short while). Food was quite expensive for what it was but breakfast was nice too.
