Very nice property as one drives in,but ends there as it is not a place to be if traveling with children. Family will be allocated a room close to the entrance to the hotel not in the main building. All facilities are barred access too if children are accompanying. Meal periods we had in a room stacked with Banquet chairs in...

My apologize for the problems you had faced. I sincerely apologize for the Restaurant at The Chalet not being well kept, and having unwanted furniture lying around. It is unfortunate that The Rules of the Club specifies that children under a certain age cannot be accommodated in the main building. It even applies to all Members whose children are under...

The hotel is located in Nuwara Eliya, known as Little England, it gives you the feeling of European luxury and surrounding, rooms are very personalized, staff is very welcoming, beautifully surrounded by hills and garden, breath taking views in early mornings, cool climate..

Our room was dirty and the carpet had not been cleaned since who known when.. lumps of hair and stains everywhere! The garden is the only nice place in this hotel. It is lovely to sit out there however all other areas feel old, and need a big revamp. The restaurant was a disappointment, the food was not good unfortunately....

If I went by some of the negative reviews, I would not have been here. In the spirit of adventure, I said whatever!! I booked with Agoda but although I had the confirmation the Hill Club did not have it. The front office nevertheless accommodated me at the Agoda price. The room is pretty spacious and with all modern amenities,...

Pulling up outside this beautifully manicured hotel with exceptional gardens you are lulled even further into a false sense of security by wonderful staff...the hotels take on the quintessential British 1940s country house was in fact just that with very dated rooms and not so pristine bathrooms. The lack of space in the informal dining room left us eating at...

The HIll Club looks and feels like an old British country club in the middle of Sri Lanka. Beautifully tended gardens, golf course next door, formal dining (where men must wear jackets and ties), billiard room, cocktail bar that looks as if it hasn't change for 80 years. Rooms old and maybe a bit tired but if you want all...

This was our fourth visit to the Hill Club and the gardens were the best we have ever seen them - really beautiful. As in previous reviews, we like staying at the Hill Club with its Olde Worlde atmosphere and having to get dressed up in a jacket and tie in the evening. It was also lovely a cool there...

Just loved this place. Would recommend it in a heartbeat. Once the club for coffee and tea plantation owners, it has a wonderful old world feel. We took the cheapest room, and not sure if we were upgraded or not but it was beautiful. Lovely views from the first floor out across the front gardens - and what gardens. We...
