Great place, brimming with ambience, style and character... Comfortable vibe with plenty of spaces to chill out and read a book or be social! Very friendly staff, bright sunlit restaurant and a large pool table area, very clean, wood fire and great food... totally recommend :-)

This cottage is beautifully designed and built to take advantage of the little stream that runs trough it as well as having it's beautiful wooden balconies built around giant King Ferns. The owner is serious about his commitment to the environment and sends staff out every morning to clean the rubbish which is sadly swept down the stream every night....

We spent one night here and were happy with it, but the bathroom didn't fit with the rest of the room as it is a bit run down. Great wooden carved furniture and funky set up. Our room backed on to the main area so we had to ask for the music to be turned down due to our 4:30am...

We absolutely loved this place and stayed for 2 nights. The owner & staff were really helpful. For our second night we stayed in room 1 which had a massive comfy bed. Food was brilliant & the Sri Lankan curry was delicious. Also the beer was nice & cold! Would definitely recommend!

We couldn't have been welcomed any better! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The room is clean, good value for money and 'bohème'. Just one word of advice, If you come and visit the king fern cottage, please take the walking tour with Gihan to see the tea plantations. It takes around 6 hours and it is absolutely amazing....

King Fern Cottage - Funkiest Place i've been to in Sri Lanka. The location excels in creating such a great vibe. Location is great - Just a few minutes away from the city center. Doable by walk. The hotel also offers a pick up service from the train station. Rooms are nice. They are comfortable, spacious and have good facilities....

Great place, beautiful cottage, clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I felt like at home. Also the food is amazing and the price is reasonable. If I go back to that city I'm starting there again.

We splurged for the bigger room and were rewarded with a lovely balcony and a great sleep, warm blankets (needed in Dec) and a great shower! The restaurant has a fireplace which lends a very cosy atmosphere to the place, and on both nights guests hung back and just chatted. The staff is very attentive and the breakfast packets were...

This lovely guesthouse has a very open, glass and wooden dining/common area with a fire place. It looks out over the golf course and is absolutely lovely. The food was good, staff very helpful. The owner was around but had no interaction with guests (busy entertaining friends?). We took a room upstairs, which was large and clean. The bed was...
