During our 2 week stay in Sri Lanka we stayed at rafters retreat for 2 nights. Don't think I prepared myself mentally for staying in a hut with 3 walls over night but it was definitely an experience. The hut we stayed (number 3) in had a double bed and a double mosquito net provided. This was the first time...

This accommodation was situated by the river. It´s classified as eco lodge. All rooms and facilities are wooden constructions, with no luxury, but very charming and perfectly fitting the environment. Our room was a kind of wooden hut. There are no glass windows, just a blind, and by rising it, you´ll discover fantastic views to the river and jungle. Despite...

We stayed here for one night having arrived after a long journey. We had originally booked at Ceylon adventures down the road but they didn't know we were arriving (we booked via booking.com) and weren't doing rafting trips. We were desperate and quoted $145 for a nights accommodation, two meals (breakfast & evening meal) with rafting incl. the room I...

For a nature lover this a dream place. You are leaving adjacent to a river in a room with no walls towards the rumbling river. Knowing Sri lankan climate if it rains during the night, then it adds to the nature sound all round you. Bathroom is very very basic. Food was so bad that one son I admitted at...

The Rafters Retreat: One of the best view you could ask for. The service was good. The food was good. Friendly atmosphere. Wish there were more activities other than rafting and confidence jump & slides. A good place for an outing.

We only spent one night here, but had a great time. Our room was overlooking the rapids and the jungle. It was such a beautiful place and managed to get a rafting trip in. That was a lot of fun and very safe. I would definitely come back here and try some of the other activities and hikes that are...

The Rafters Retreat really lives up to its name. It sits on the very river you raft on. Nestled in a manicured jungle overlooking the very same river are its several rooms. If you're into Eco-friendly hotels, you can't get a better option. The rooms are merely thatched a-framed huts totally open to the elements leaving you at the mercy...

One of the best days spent in Sri Lanka. Perfect for anyone who is looking for a rafting adventure. Very scenic peaceful and quiet place. As beginners we had a professional staff member, Gyaan, accompanying us. Nothing to complain about, will definitely visit again.

We stayed there for 1 night, accomodation only. We had a family cabin. Everything was great: nice large cabin with private (clean) bathroom, food was excellent, wifi connection also very good. Staff very nice. The only "area of improvement" was the price of the cabin but this city is expensive so can't blame this hotel for that. Do we go...
