Kitulgala is still developing as an area for tourists to stop at. There are lots of activities to do on the nearby Kalani river and that was the main reason we stayed at Forest Edge for a night. The building is an old colonial one set up high on a hillside. It's old and its glory is somewhat faded but... More

A beautiful place to stop up a steep track and surrounded by a tea plantation. A good atmosphere, friendly and quiet. The food is excellent, and there. is a nice swimming pool.It is near to the white water rafting in the valley below.

This hotel was added by our tour company while in Sri Lanka and we arrived with no background knowledge of the hotel. The road up to the hotel is an adventure but the view is worth it and they have a cool running river to the side of the hotel building. The staff were nice, not much english but enough... More

The hotel is setted very calm in the highlands of Sri Lanka. Nature is everywere. When we arrived a small waterfall welcomed us. I was excited for the stay, because I read only good reviews here on trivago. BUT our room was dirty and it smelled very dusty. In the bathroom there were ants everywhere. When we asked the staffmanager... More

We were on the road to Kitulgala, looking for a place to have lunch. We saw a sign for this hotel and our driver recognized it as part of a good chain of hotels in the area, so we decided to give it a try. What an adventure getting up the very narrow road with steep cliff drops on one... More

whilst touring we stayed overnight here. Two couples. What a hidden Gem, the place is like an old plantation house. only four rooms all poolside. Large lounge/dinning area with fantastic views. Nice being at one with nature. Three staff members two young lads and the Main man who did the cooking and assisted them waiting on. Stayed up late having... More

We stayed only the one night here and wish we had stayed another. The hotel was lovely and located in a beautiful spot with fantastic views. We were a party of 4 and were the only guests - our hosts were fantastic - attentive and friendly - nothing was to much trouble. We ordered an Indian Curry which was cooked... More

This is a very small, hideaway hotel, nestled in a tea plantation. It has the most amazing views from all 4 rooms. There is a nice pool, staff are attentive, and the meals are pretty good, but it is the location and the privacy that really sells this hotel.
