My best friend and myself stayed at Alam Sari luckily on a travel voucher at a discounted price for 5 nights March 28 to April 3 to celebrate my upcoming 40th and I must say, the only thing great was the view, some of the service staff (definitely not all) and the homemade organic vegetable soup, the following however requires...

I would like to respond to these comments made about our hotel. After receiving such positive feedback from most of our guests I was very disconcerted to hear this stay didn't meet the guest's expectations. We treat all feedback very seriously and will certainly follow up on the issues raised and seek to improve our service. Our hotel has been operating...

We picked this hotel based on reviews on TA and Frommers and were very disappointed. We had already been in Ubud for two nights and wanted to get out of the center and into the country. I emailed the hotel and booked a room and sent an email requesting a pick up time. The driver showed up over an hour...

We first stayed here with a group of friends and have now also been back by ourselves. An older property it has very few villas so you never feel overcrowded. Not everything works (Gym has been out of action for 18 months) but the staff are great and you really feel in the middle of rice paddies. They provide a...

I've been here in Feb 2013. My reservation is in homestay part, not the hotel, but still can use all facility in hotel. And the homestay is not really far from the hotel. The place you I stayed is a really traditional Balinese building, and every quiet, (except the screaming from the chicken in the morning, lol). If you'd like...

A friend had a significant birthday so planned a holiday for five in Bali rather than a party at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Alam Sari. The staff were very attentive, the rooms very well serviced and we enjoyed complimentary breakfast every day. The village walk is excellent. I'd recommend it to everyone staying at Alam Sari. We...

I've been here with my wife in September 2011 for a week. it's 7 km up to Kintamani from Ubud on the hill (so don't take large luggage! :) First we booked it for 3 nights, then decided to stay for 4 extra nights. Rooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Driver from shuttle bus picked up us and...

Beautiful place on a hill near rice fields and ubud village, far from the hustle bustle of town. Well maintained, with a wonderful pool in the centre and a lovely organic garden on top of the hill. Wonderful staff friendly, warm and efficient. Loved the breakfast, and coffee esp was excellent, the cook was friendly and catered to our choices....

Hotel was very beautiful, located in a quiet location in the mountains 20 minutes north of Ubud and very close to fantastic tourist sites such as rice terraces, Purification temple and Gunang Awi. Room was quite nice with good amentities. Best feature was a nature walk through the organic gardens and local villages by a very well informed guide who...

We recently stayed at Alam Sari for one week. Grounds and rooms were lovely and cleaned well each day. Staff were friendly and generally helpful especially Agung (?) and the gentleman who checked us in. Tired quickly of food at the restaurant, not that it was that bad, just not what we were wanting to eat. Big problems at check...
