We couldn't spent more than two nights in the Lodge, but whaoo! That was just sensational! The place, our room, the staff : everything was just perfect! The treks they organise are very instructive and you never feel like you're like "one more tourist doing a tour". People from Sarinbuana village are very friendly and you were really sad to...

It was hard to tell what was best about Sarinbuana: waking up to misty sunrises with just the sounds of nature, learning how to read Balinese script and wood carving from Pak Ketut, getting an introduction to traditional Balinese medicine from a neighbor from the next rice field over, folding banana leaves into intricate toys, sampling snake fruit (salak) along...

We have just returned from Bali, where we spent four nights and five days at Sarinbuana Lodge. It was a magical and fulfilling experience. The accommodation was fantastic. We were in the Orchid Bungalow, which afforded gorgeous, panoramic view of rainforest. It felt utterly private, even though we were just a few steps away from the restaurant. It also had...

After a long sleepless flight to Bali we arrived at this inspiring place. Out of the way from the hustle and bustle it was a perfect place to relax, capture the beauty of nature and learn Balinese traditions. All the staff were friendly and helpful, each meal we had was delicious and the best we had during our stay in...

We loved waking in the morning to watch the tropical sunrise spread across the jungle through the (uncurtained) landscape windows in our bungalow. The lodge is a very warm and welcoming place, giving a completely different experience from the hectic bustle of the beach resorts. The staff are all local people who take great pride in the services they provide....

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the eco-lodge. The location was striking, in the rainforest on the side of Mount Batukaru. We chose the lodge specifically for the chance to see another side of Bali - more rural, remote and wild. (To get to the lodge for example requires a bumpy, sometimes nerve wracking but ultimately thrilling ride...

I love all the good reviews for Sarinbuana Ecolodge....it is the reason that in January 2012 , I booked to stay with them for five nights from 19 August 2012. I am a solo traveller, but wanted quality and comfort, and so booked the Rumah Manis room, described as a "beautiful private bungalow". Their availability chart showed it was free...

Dear Solo traveler. I am sorry for the inconvenience that your bungalow was double booked, mistakes do happen on occasion, as I mentioned to you politely by email. To be fair and clear, I offered you an alternative bungalow (which is also lovely) for 3 nights as a solution, you declined this offer and demanded a full refund immediately. As...

I was looking forward to heading to the hills to get away from the crowds and traffic of the coast and Ecolodge lived up to all my expectations. After winding our way up through plantations and forests we were quickly greeted at the roadside by the ever helpful staff. It wasn't until winding our way along the path that you...

This is a truly remarkable and unforgetable place to stay. We took advantage of the honeymoon package at the eco lodge. AMAZING food, picked freshly from the garden, AMAZING rainforest tree top views and sunsets. Quirky accomodation which is very comfortable. The guided trekking was a highlight of our trip, meeting local farmers in the forest and Padi fields and...

If you hate nature and want to party in a crowd all night, stay away from Sarinbuana Eco Lodge! If, like me, you'd enjoy the experience of total immersion in natural beauty while eating tasty, healthy food (served by delightful, friendly staff) and engaging in the odd exploratory walk, or perhaps trying your hand at soapstone carving, then this place...

Thank you for your very nice review. It was good for me to clarify your cleanliness rating by personal emails with you- to learn that it was not that your bungalow was unclean, more that you felt other guests might feel uncomfortable with a moth, ant or butterfly sharing your space on occasion. For other potential guests, in my humble...
