Very nice, clean and modern rooms, with a great staff. It's very close to the beach and the restaurant serves lovely food! Absolutely worth every penny. Tip if you go diving: shop around as prices for 2 dives range from 136 dollar to 70 dollar.

We loved our stay in Permuteran, its a quiet ocean-side town that has managed to keep development to a minimum and does not allow people to harass tourists with trinkets or services. The area is quite ecologically sensitive and one of the ways that they have managed to keep tourism and development on par with what the area can support...

Most rooms in this little village are quite expensive. These are some of the cheapest and most beautiful. We booked for 3 nights but stayed for 4. There are 5 new bungalows set well back from the road, opposite side of the road to the beach but only 2 minutes walk. They are set around a lovely square garden, each...

My partner and I stayed two nights at Badini homestay earlier this month. We paid 350,000Rp a night for a clean air-conditioned room with an outdoor bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price, however we never got to try the breakfast foods as we had an early morning tour booked. We were leaving at 6am and the restaurant had not...

Pemuteran beachfront hotels can be rather expensive, this is a good budget option, not directly on the beach, but a 10 minute walk down a track across some rather overgrown land to the beach. The room was clean, quiet and the owners friendly. There was also free internet in the restaurant (other hotels in Pemuteran charge crazy prices for internet...

Being the only bar showing the rugby semifinal New Zealand vs Australia the owner of the bar claimed afterwards that we had almost twice the stuff the we actually ordered. If I would drink ten beer as he claimed I would have crawled home and not remember quite clear the argument we had with him. After he started shouting very...

We found Badini Homestay through a recommendation of a local guesthouse and once we got there we were utterly surprised to find this little gem. They are situated in Pemuteran along the main road that goes from Gilimanuk towards Lovina, where also most of the resorts and dive shops are. Kokak Dive Centre is next door (managed by the same...
