It's my second visit to Alila Ubud, a wonderful hotel perched above a lush green valley near Ubud. The hotel's three main strengths: - a world class restaurant (much improved since our last visit) hosted in a stunning high-ceilinged open room with views on all sides. - a perfect infinity pool hanging over the valley. - vertiginous views of the...

Overall the resort is an amazing place! We actually had the chance to stay in 3 different types of room the Pool villa, the deluxe room and the Valley villa. We found the rooms in all, to be well appointed and well maintained. In some of the rooms we noticed signs of ageing such as damage to the ceiling in...

If this hotel were without the geckos and lizards this would be one of the the best hotel I have ever stayed at. That said, even with experience from other 5 stars hotels such as park hyatt around the world. The service is excellent, they really genuinly care for you and want you to have the best time. The hotel...

The pool is stunning, this was by far the main draw to this hotel. Our room was pretty good but not great, nice view and fairly comfortable, but a bit overpriced. Service was on par to other Bali hotels, the restaurant offers great meal options and the breakfast (included) was awesome.

After spending 3 days in Sanur we travelled up to Ubud and stayed in Alila The room was amazing with views overlooking the dense trees where the monkeys could be seen playing. The dining experience was magnificent although wine expensive. They had daily afternoon tea with a choice of teas and coffee and home cooked Balinese delicacies. The infinity pool...

Stunning infinity pool area and great tree top villas but normal 'rooms' are dated, smelly and not clean. Several times blood on the sheets! We stayed here as reviews / recommendations were good and infinity pool looked amazing but compared to our normal 5 star properties this felt like a 3 star plus. Wouldn't come again even if we had...

Dear Saul I, Greetings from Alila Ubud and thank you for taking the time to provide me with feedback on your recent stay. From the outset, I would like to apologise for your experience of the room condition and F&B services, this is most certainly not reflective of the high standards that we aim to provide to all our valued...

Spent three nights here, to start my trip to Bali and see a bit of culture before doing the beach thing. Set out of Ubud, about 15 mins drive, the resort fits in well with the forest setting. Room was good, Spa excellent, food really interesting and well prepared/presented. The pool does gave a great view and as mentioned in...

We chose to take a two night (three day) excursion to visit Ubud from our two week holiday in Seminyak. I would say that this was an adequate amount of time to explore the area. Our stay in a treetop villa at the Alila proved to be the highlight of our trip to Bali, and really made our holiday. We...

The hotel is located in a tranquil location overlooking the valley but it isn't exactly idyllic. More of just quiet. We stayed in the superior room, which was small, but we didn't have much issues with this (or the lack of tv/entertainment options) as we weren't planning to stay in all day. It was also clean (just that the furniture...

If you're after peace, quiet, romance and beauty with 5 star service then this hotel is perfect. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Java and Bali and it was by far the best hotel we stayed in. The service was fantastic and the breakfasts were incredible. It's a la carte and you can have as many dishes...
